Social entrepreneur turning data into intelligence for behavioral health, recovery support, and communities | Founder at Commonly Well | Architect of the Recovery Capital Index

The "fee-for-service paradigm," as Steve Millette calls it, is problematic because it has never been optimized for the episodic nature of addiction treatment to-date. The opportunity for improving care quality and improved outcomes lies in both: ☑ shifting the paradigm to a longer-term and performance-based (value-based) model; AND ☑ optimizing the fee-for-service models within operations. Ultimately, we need providers to adopt an infinite mindset and apply that mindset throughout their clinical, recovery management, and long-term outcomes-based model. As Simon Sinek notes, you can establish finite functions in an operation that serve the infinite goals. Payment models will adapt to a better application and delivery of care. It shouldn't be the other way around -- that's how we got into the FFS mess to begin with. Commonly Well #valuebasedcare #behavioralhealth #recoveryintelligence

There is little incentive for a provider to adopt this. In so many cases centers don't really know the cost of treatment, only thier profit and with little oversight they are not anxious to see things change.

Anybody that receives money for services in any part of the field is in a fee for service. Denial of the behavioral healthcare coverage from the start, treatment centers accepted the denial because the insurance companies didn’t wanna pay for behavioral health. because behavioral health wasn’t paying quite well so they went the other short route which is now caused this route with all these incredible measurements you still don’t have a better solution. Your measurement company didn’t come for another decade or so later David Whitesock . Outcome Referrals, Inc. is an example. Until markers, physicians and measurements are accounted for IN alcohol anonymous, that the medical system refers to, everybody that receives money through insurance, whether it’s from the facilities that accept insurance that pay them for their services or not.I’m too old over here. I still have only accepted cash because of the same requirements that everybody’s complaining about; they don’t want to let go of their payment system so they have to complain instead of offering solutions. My solution is a process patent that will challenge all of your measurements including the members of alcoholic anonymous acknowledged business https://mendmindcare.com
