Today my longtime employee @PamShafer retires after 30 yrs of service to UPS . I have supervised her for 14 years and depended on her like my right hand . Unfortunately I am in Asia representing UPS and conducting site visits and will not be able to see her off . I did just talk to her and told her this chapter is closing and a new chapter is just starting but her legacy and hard work at UPS will not be forgotten. She understood the importance of fostering relationships and how she makes a difference in all the UPS crewmembers daily lives by building strong relationships and trust with each and every vendor. Congratulations Pam enjoy your well earned retirement.
They don't come much Finer than Pam Shafer! She is sharp, witty, dedicated, kind and she knows her stuff. We spoke a few times last week about how much she will be missed! I have worked with her about 18 years while I have been with Ayres Hotels... maybe longer. They just don't make em like Pam anymore! She will be missed!!
Absolutely Dave. Pam's dedication and subject matter expertise will not be forgotten. The relationships she's built with vendors and internal customers has helped shape the Crew Logistics department. She has represented the company well and will be missed as she starts her next phase.
Well said David! Pam will be missed but never forgotten. How fortunate we were to have such a capable and dedicated UPSer on our team. Wishing her all the best during the next phase of her journey!
We’ll miss you Pam, enjoy your next chapter

3moPam, welcome to the retirement club. I’m grateful for all of your help and support over the years we worked together. You kindness and compassion for those in need within the community was a great example and provided all of us following you with a great learning opportunity. Your unbiased and compassionate approach while representing the crew needs and the company’s needs was impressive as well. I’m proud to have had the chance to work together. Enjoy your family and the free time! Kindest and warmest regards, Angelo
