Each month, we ask a member of the Wealth Matters team to nominate a charity, which we then donate to. Recently, our Client Relationship Manager Chantelle chose Sickle Cell Society.
Chantelle said: "I chose SCS because I have sickle cell trait and my cousin has sickle cell disorder. I wanted to give blood to help her and others, as I found out that I have a rare blood group that can help people with sickle cell. As there’s not that much awareness on it and I just wanted to give what I could." You can learn more about Sickle Cell Society here: https://lnkd.in/gDAgaCP#GivingMatters#Donation#FinancialPlanning

Well done to Jade Springett for hiking up Mount Snowdon in 45mph wind and torrential rain to raise money for MS Society alongside 4 friends.
So far they have raised £4400 for an amazing charity so close to their hearts.
MS is an invisible disability and everyday comes with different challenges. Whilst there is currently no cure, there are disease modifying treatments (DMT’s) to help manage the symptoms and help reduce further disability. In recent years - research into MS is progressing and developing but funding is much needed for this to happen.
Please help them reach their target of £4500. All donations help fund research into new treatments; and ways to help people live better with MS. The MS Society can then keep working towards a future free from the effects of MS, for everyone.

Personal note:
WE MADE IT!!
Yesterday, my partner, three of our close friends and I hiked up Snowdon to raise money for MS Society. We made it through 45 mph winds and torrential rain to get to the top.
In March earlier this year, one of my closest friends was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a lifelong condition whereby the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the brain and nerves.
In recent years - research into MS is progressing and developing but funding is much needed for this to happen.
In order to contribute towards these developments, we hiked up Mount Snowdon to raise money for a charity so close to our hearts.
So far we have raised £4,254!!!
Please help us reach our target of £4,500
I know times are tough at the moment but even a £1 donation or a share would be very much appreciated!!
Thank you so much for everyone’s support so far 😊

EVERY WEEK IN THE UK & IRELAND, 70 PEOPLE SUFFER AN AORTIC DISECTION. SADLY, HALF DIE.
On Sunday 17 September 2023, my friend Simon and I will be running in the Worcester Half Marathon. As part of this, we are hoping to raise awareness and money for The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust. For more information on the charity, click our Just Giving link below, or check out the website: https://lnkd.in/eAGDUBde
We are of course grateful for any donations but more importantly we are hoping to raise the profile of the charity, and highlight the importance of genetic testing.
An aortic dissection is a time critical-medical emergency that when diagnosed and treated on time has a better than 80% survival rate. 10 lives could be saved per week with the correct diagnosis. For some patients with aortic dissection, there is a hereditary cause. Relatives of such patients should be screened to ensure that they are not at risk.

So, donating to charities help communities more than the government programs help their recipients.
Most charities (I'm keeping a positive attitude) have a good purpose intended by the charity's founders. Charities and churches have the responsibility to help their communities.
Never did the U.S. Constitution suggest that the tax revenues should be spent on social issues and welfare programs. Rights are not inherent in social programs.
Everyone has a right to be successful which is allowed by the 1st Amendment. No one has the right to tell you that you can not be as successful as you chose.
If we supported the churches and charity organizations who truly help people with their needs our Country would truly be a wealthy country. With the amount of opportunity for all, there should be no poor among us.

Today we’ve published our 2022-23 Annual Report. It’s been a huge year across the Foundation, Impact on Urban Health, and our three NHS charities - Evelina London Children's Charity, Guy’s Cancer Charity and Guy’s & St Thomas’s Charity. We’re proud to share some of numbers that tell our story over the last 12 months.
💸 We invested £20m towards our £100m allocation for impact investment – putting our money where it counts.
🏥 We used our property portfolio to deliver positive health outcomes, as well as financial returns, while hitting some major milestones on our two flagship life science developments.
🚑 Our charitable expenditure reached £40.8m – this money enabled our NHS charities to support patient care and staff wellbeing, and our Impact on Urban Health team to further their amazing work in the community.
🙌 We awarded charitable grants totalling £33m to support initiatives, projects and communities in Southwark and Lambeth.
👫 We invested in our people by increasing our workforce by more than 50% - key roles needed to help us deliver on our 2022-27 strategy.

The American journalist Gloria Steinem said:
“Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning"
As many of my LinkedIn followers know, the Muscle Help Foundation#charity is a small, but mighty charity that packs a punch when it comes to delivering transformational outcomes for its vulnerable beneficiaries living with the muscle wasting condition #musculardystrophy ~ MD is relentless and unforgiving.
In 2023, nine of the charity’s Muscle Dream beneficiaries died. The average age was 19yrs. A harsh reality. For many young people in our community, #time is an incredibly precious commodity!
That’s why #partnerships really matter because they can make a big difference. And that’s why the above three words will I hope be a catalyst in igniting your #imagination.
The charity is not shy when it comes to its #aspirations and being innovative in seeking to work with organisations like Parallel Office and Document Solutions Ltd where an alignment of values and common goals exist.
So, here goes… if your business has a massively underutilised #printer 🖨️ fleet, it’s time to let your #imagination open up with a new strategy that will not only serve your #printer fleet but also every time anyone clicks and prints, a #donation is made to the Muscle Help Foundation charity.
If your business is looking to:
✔️ Improve efficiency
✔️ Reduce downtime
✔️ Cut consumable costs
✔️ Reduce environmental impact #sustainability
✔️ Support the Print Releaf reforestation scheme
Why not reach out to Parallel Office and Document Solutions Ltd and specifically Steve Luff [email protected] or their MD Gavin J. Auckland to discover how through a detailed print #audit, their printing solutions can not only benefit your business but also directly support the fulfilment of many more #unforgettable Muscle Dream experiences for children and young people with MD across the UK.
