Sales Hiring Criteria (SKQ) --------------------------- ✅ 20 % Skill (information gathering, listening, questions, presenting , qualifying) ✅ 20 % Knowledge (product, industry , competitive knowledge) ✅ 60 % Quality (problem solving, motivation, attitude, integrity, team player, professionalism) Anyone who has not sold at least $100 M LTR (Lifetime Revenue) often thinks it's all about skills and knowledge, but over the distance Quality wins I think strongly . ScalerZ takeaway : Our extended team has $10B of LTR (globally), we filter for Quality over skills and knowledge. We think HIGH QUALITY folks can acquire SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE but quality is hard to find and harder to teach ANIL KUMAR Susan G. Planhat is HIRING for BDRs based in Boston! https://lnkd.in/efdN7ZYD Earlier this year, we hired our very first BDRs in the 🇺🇲 - We believed the model would work. - We knew there was a lot of room to improve on outbound. - We knew too few CCOs/VPs of CS in the US had heard of Planhat. But I never expected Owen Rockett Terrence Fede and Benson Child to achieve the results they've achieved in just 9 months. These three have become an unstoppable team, always professional, always respectful and always focused on smashing their goals. Thanks to them, we've signed on a number of new customers, met with 100s of CS leaders in the US and really proven how effective outbound is regardless of economic climate. I've read a lot on Linkedin lately about "outbound" having changed or being dead. If that's your opinion, you're not doing it right. Now, if you want to join this unstoppable team you need... - To be a team player (no sharp elbows) - Coachable (open to feedback & continuous improvement) - Grit (there are more Ls than Ws, can you handle that?) - Positivity (glass is always half full) - Work ethic (this team is elite, need to be at that level) - Business acumen (curious about the business world & the problems we help our customers to solve) - Kind* (this is the MOST important, be a good person, treat people internally and externally the way you want to be treated) Finally, the photo below has a story... Benson was slide-tackled playing pickup soccer and broke his fibula. He had to have surgery, but he'd also earned a promotion to Sr BDR... the team decided to drop by his apartment in Chinatown the night before surgery to surprise him with the promotion... that's the kind of team you'd be joining!

Beyond finding and closing deals, a role in tech sales can be a gateway to numerous other positions within a tech company which might better align with ones goals and needs. The most common ones are: 1) Sales Leadership: As soon as reps get really good at their own roles, they often get advanced into sales leadership positions such as Sales Manager, Director of Sales, or even Vice President of Sales. 2) Customer Success: Customer success roles allows sales professionals to continue nurturing these relationships post-sale, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and upsell opportunities. 3) Sales Operations: Tech sales professionals with strong analytical and organizational skills can excel in these roles, streamlining workflows and implementing tools to enhance sales efficiency. 4) Account Management: Transitioning into account management roles allows sales professionals to take ownership of key client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for ongoing support, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities. 5) Partnerships: Tech companies often rely on strategic partnerships and alliances to expand their reach and offerings. I recently saw a job description for a Sr. Manager RevOps role. These were the primary responsibility bullets (and yes... there were 2-3 sub-bullets under each). --Revenue strategy --Pricing strategy --Sales operations --Marketing operations --Go to market metrics --Data analysis and insight --GTM tech stack strategy --Budget management --Go to market team alignment --Commission management Salary OTE... $150k. I'm sorry... what?! I've had several of these convos with recruiters where this is the responsibility, they don't want to hire a team just a single person, and want to pay them slightly more than the base salary of an Enterprise AE without commission. I fundamentally believe in RevOps and the power it can unleash to help businesses scale. It better be worth more than this. But if you expect one person to 1) possess the talent to do all those things (even some half-baked), 2) let them design and deploy a strategy to make it happen, and 3) not go insane doing it alone and expect to pay them less than 1 enterprise rep while making them facilitate commission payments to every rep... you're delusional, or just love hiring someone who's going to burnout quickly. If you're serious about scaling your revenue... you've got to be serious about paying the people who will make it all happen what they're worth... and ... cough... it's more than one single rep. Has anyone else been experiencing this on the job market? #revops #gtmstrategy

Heidi is growing. Really, really fast. Not sure when it happened, but it feels like we've been shot out of the other side of the 0 to 1 Wormhole. The question now becomes; How do we maintain the tenacity of a 20 group team with a phat doughnut 🍩 in the Stripe account when we now grapple with the problem of scaling many millions in ARR beyond a team of 50, 100, 250. I'm honestly not sure, but the peeps we hire have to something to do with it. So... We're hiring for more roles in the U.S. To continue the space reference, we want people who can add their own fuel to the Heidi rocket ship, not just space wasters in our payload. Whether thats an altruistic desire to help people (lets call it a nice green energy), or you're more of crude oil, driven by a fierce desire to win, all fuel is fuel. We just want grit and energy. You can see more about the role below, but think high-eq-generalist with a BD flare. Someone that charts paths through problems of any sort. Empathetic, personable, and able to infuse our core tenant of being "clinician obsessed." If it sounds a bit indeterminate, honestly, its by nature. You'll help shape what the role becomes and hopefully create swim lanes for yourself in the process that we aren't even thinking about today. Theres never been a better time / opportunity to go all in. Please feel free to DM me, recommend a friend, etc. Tagging to reach the US guns amongst us; Sam Jamshidi Sohaan Nath Raghav Sharma Dr. Thomas Kelly Silk Kadala Michael Tolo Christie Katris Mohamed Ismail Michael Beveridge https://lnkd.in/gb7TJNCj

Elevating the Customer & Employee Experience | AI-Driven Transformation | Intuit + Bloomberg + Seismic + Branch Alumnus | Redemptive Leadership | #LearnTeachLearn
If you fit the description, and are in the #Bay or #NYC, I can’t understate the speed at which you should run to explore this opportunity. Navid Zolfaghari is the truth. #Jobs #SalesLeadership #Metronome
Thriving in an ambiguous and complex environment, operating outside of your direct role to elevate the organization, and having meaningfully "carried a bag" in technical sales are key qualities I am seeking in our first Sales Manager hire at Metronome, the leading usage-based billing platform. I need a true partner to help scale our team and iterate on processes across GTM, not just in sales. I place a high value on ex-founders or individuals from scaling startups, those with technical backgrounds, and those who embody excellence and growth. Many of my former managers have gone on to take the top leadership role and manage large organizations. While we are currently focusing on the Bay Area, we are also open to candidates from NY. If you know individuals who fit this mold, please send me their LinkedIn profiles with some context. Timing may not always align, but I am always open to and interested in connecting with top-tier people regardless of role. We've raised $78M from Andreessen Horowitz, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), and General Catalyst, and we are growing our GTM team across the board. For more details, see our careers page in the comments section. I am partnering with the legendary Emily Vidinghoff on this hire. *image generate by AI "gnome sitting on a green rocketship"
