In defense, they aid in reconnaissance and border monitoring, bolstering national security. In space, drones assist in aerial surveys, satellite maintenance, and scientific research, advancing India's space exploration efforts. Overall, drones contribute to operational efficiency, risk reduction, and innovation across these key sectors. - 100% FDI Allowed: India's space sector now permits 100% foreign direct investment (FDI) via the automatic route for manufacturing components, systems, or sub-systems related to satellites, ground segments, and user segments. - Graduated FDI Levels: FDI up to 74% through automatic route permitted for satellite manufacturing and operations, satellite data products, ground segments, and user segments. Up to 49% FDI allowed for launch vehicles, spaceports, and associated systems or subsystems. - Global Market Strategy: India aims to increase its share in the global space market, projected to reach $47.3 billion by 2032, by attracting investments from global players like SpaceX and Blue Origin. - Employment Opportunities: Liberalization of FDI rules is expected to create job opportunities and boost employment by allowing companies to establish manufacturing facilities in India. - Access to Advanced Technologies: Reforms aim to provide access to advanced technologies and funds from domestic and international investors, fostering innovation and technology absorption. - Support for 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat': Changes in FDI regulations support initiatives like 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' by enhancing capabilities of Indian companies in the space sector and integrating them into global value chains. This is so inspiring Akshay Krishna Radhakrishnan, many thanks for sharing. The message applies at national level as much as it applies at a personal level. Why compete against your neighbour or colleague when you haven't finished competing with yourself? Life is so fulfilling when you compete and race against the goals that you set for yourself. You realise everyone, including those you never told your dreams, giving you respect. Respect is universal for achievers, irrespective of who their competition is. As you achieve goal after goal, you see yourself setting higher-order goals which over time you will meet and surpass with ease and even before you know it. Now back to national level application. What are governments, including that of India, doing to uplift the lives of their own poor? Are they providing them with an enabling environment that allows them to dream and live their dreams in their lifetime? Food for thought. Everyone has a dream, a dream that transforms into something big once the initial stage has been achieved.
