It's a war on culture and society, not a culture war. The aim is to destroy both to replace them with absolute conformity and obedience. If the ideologically enlightened know everything, reason and critical thinking are redundant and likely immoral. Things turn bad when respect for disagreement and contradiction are forbidden. Reasoning is impossible without temporary suspension of the law of non-contradiction. https://t.ly/9Lh6v 'Culture war' distracts from something more inhuman- the systematic dismantling of known history of humanity and elimination of the social bonds that make civilisation possible. It is about abolition of reason and the imposition of conformity and obedience to a morally superior state which will force us to be free and eliminate critical thinking. The most humiliating aspect of living in such a state is the institutional necessity to lie to survive. Dishonesty was a way of life in the Soviet Union The war is really about the obliteration of individual freedom by inculcating the belief that it is impossible to be human or free without ideological state domination. So slavery is freedom. This is epitomised in the words of O'Brien: "The first thing you must realise is that power is collective. The individual only has power in so far as he ceases to be an individual. You know the Party slogan: ‘Freedom is slavery’. Has it ever occurred to you that it is reversible? Slavery is freedom. Alone – free- the human being is always defeated. It must be so, because every human being is doomed to die, which is the greatest of all failures. But if he can make complete, utter submission, if he can escape from his identity, if he can merge himself in the Party so that he is the Party, then he is all-powerful and immortal. [added paragraphing] The second thing for you to realise is that power is power over human beings. Over the body – but, above all, over the mind. Power over matter – external reality, as you would call it – is not important. Already our control over matter is absolute….But how can you control matter? He burst out. With any luck events, intellectual courage and a growing number repulsed by inhuman arrogance will stop the legion of O'Briens, devoid of reason and respect, like the fate in C9 AD of the Roman army in the German Forests There is commonality in individuality, both at once, as it were. The only system that squares the collective with the individual is democracy. Western politics seems intent on crushing the individual with the collective. The core of identity politics denies the importance of history, culture, community, society and civilisation in the name of ideological domination and state control. It pretends to respect culture as it destroys it

Colour-blindness (as the term applies to race) is not literally possible. Not in South Africa, where we are all too aware of each others racial background. But it is a worthy aspiration to treat people with equal respect and curiosity regardless of what racial group they were born into. It should also be a political and ethical aspiration not to make legal distinctions between racial groups. In the 1960s in the US, almost all people (but for the most hardened leftists and the most hardened racists) agreed that a colourblind order was a worthy aspiration. How things have changed for the worse. In many parts of the world the races are getting along worse than they have in decades. Let's not compromise our humanity because of the crazies on the left who insist that the races are in a Hobbesian battle against each other for survival.
