We're still yet to see how AI will change the way we find jobs. As always, a new technology appears and causes a lot of chaos. But when the dust settles, we'll find ourselves in a slightly new world. Will we optimize our CVs and resumes for AI screening tools? Will we do it ourselves or using other AI tools? That sounds like an arms race, doesn't it? I still believe that it's a good idea to be as personal as possible. To show yourself, to be a real person with opinions, ideas, strenghts and flaws. At the end of the day, AI tools are still tools. Decisions are still made by people. That's why it's still important to be seen and connected with other people. https://lnkd.in/d9Y-QjVU #ai #artifical_intelligence #recruiting #jobsearch #future_of_work #hiring_trends #personal_branding #ai_tools #soft_skills

The rise of generative AI has transformed the recruitment process, flooding recruiters with masses of applications and overwhelming them in the search for qualified candidates. Despite the potential efficiency benefits of AI tools like LinkedIn's chatbots and generative messaging, concerns persist about bias and the ability to accurately assess candidates, prompting some recruiters to remain cautious about fully embracing AI in hiring practices. WIRED shares some interesting insight on how some recruiters still prefer to fill roles the old fashioned way: https://lnkd.in/eASjMG6E #AI #generativeai #chatgpt #recruiting #staffing #hr #jobs #employees

✍️Frustrating AI - The AI generated frustration is showing at the recruitment stage itself : '..The recruiter says they believe some who did pass may have used artificial intelligence to solve the problem. There was odd wording in some, the recruiter explains, others disclosed using AI, and in one case when the person moved on to the next interview, they couldn’t answer questions about the task. “Not only have they wasted their time, but they wasted my time,” says the recruiter. “It’s really frustrating.” ..' - Extract #ai #recruitment #recruiter #linkedin #frustratingai #skdscans

For any recruiting professional, conversation around AI and it's effects on the hiring process have been inescapable over these past few years. There is certainly a value that it can provide to the recruiter, but this article from Forbes was eye-opening as to how it can benefit candidates, and effect the resumes that us recruiters read day-over-day. https://lnkd.in/gM3Jd-cV The article outlines some of the ways in which recruiters may need to think more critically about the resumes they screen, which could potentially be AI generated. However, I always encourage candidates to use any tools they have at their disposal to bolster their personal brand. With that being said, what the article outlines rings true; there is a certain element of true personality that is lost in AI, so make sure that you use these tools with careful oversight (the same way recruiters should always use AI with a critical eye). What are your thoughts on AI in hiring, either as a candidate or as a recruiter? Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences! #Recruiting #AI #Consulting #Hiring #GrowWithKO

I'm excited about the possibilities of #AI in recruitment! In this recent piece for WIRED, Amanda Hoover explores the use of AI tools in recruitment and the challenges recruiters face in balancing traditional methods with new technology. As we continue to rely more on AI, it's essential to ask ourselves if it can handle the complexities of recruitment without losing the personal touch. Are these tools helpful, or do they complicate the hiring process? I am leaning into AI and what it will help us achieve in all aspects of the Talent org. The possibilities are endless when you combine thoughtful, considered human-centred-design and implement AI to 'enhance' and 'enable' humans rather than totally replace them. Interested to hear my networks thoughts on good, bad and ugly examples of where they are seeing 'over use' of AI to where in fact it's being used and delivering the goods for them. https://lnkd.in/g_HQ-UFe #Recruitment #TalentAcquisition #HumanResources

This is an interesting article and one that resonates. AI is now pretty much imbedded within our industry but that has meant that generated content is becoming easier to distinguish. Personally, when I receive communication that appears to be artificial I treat it differently to that which clearly has a human touch. The adoption of the technology (in my view) needs to be an enhancement tool not a replacement tool to normal communications.

https://t.co/whmbAnsTgw "AI hiring tools may be filtering out the best job applications" This should be obvious with just a superficial understanding of how this works: AI will optimize towards the central tendency it was trained on. In other words, hiring "more of the same" - diversity and high performance outliers will be the first to be filtered out.
