As a recruiter, I cannot emphasize the importance of thorough interview prep. It goes beyond merely presenting your skills; it's about convincingly demonstrating your alignment with a team's values and the specific role's demands. Delving into the company's mission, understanding the nuances of the position, and tailoring your experiences to meet the company's needs can significantly elevate your candidacy. Moreover, a well-prepared candidate can effectively assess the opportunity, ensuring it aligns with their career goals. Proper preparation empowers you to enter the interview with confidence, ready to engage in a meaningful conversation about your potential role within an organization. #Interviewprep #interviewquestions

When you’re interviewing for a job, there are all sorts of questions worth asking. Often interviewers will leave the last 10 or 15 minutes of an interview to ask those questions — but sometimes you’ll run out of time. Instead of waiting for that opening at the end, “ask questions as you go along,” says My Perfect Resume career expert Jasmine Escalera. Here’s how.

Is this a growth role or a replacement role? As a candidate, this is an excellent question to ask during your interview. It will help you understand their reason for hiring but it may also help you understand if there are any skeletons in the closet. If you are a hiring manager, be prepared to answer this question. My suggestion is to be 100% transparent. This question is very similar to a question the hiring manager almost always asks: “Why are you looking to leave your current company?” You can learn so much about a person from this simple question.

Great interview tips from David Priemer #interviewtips
Too many candidates get interviewing all wrong. I’ve hired hundreds of people in my career. Here are 3 tips for nailing your next job interview. 1. Be memorable If you sound the same as everyone else (i.e. basic, predictable answers, unremarkable stories), hiring managers will assume you're like everyone else. Prepare to share unique stories and perspectives, be thoughtful, and don't be afraid to showcase your personality! 2. Do your homework! Come to the interview with: - Knowledge of what the company does - A point of view on how your unique skills/background can help them - Intelligent questions about the role and how to set yourself up for success in it. You'd be shocked by how many candidates don't do this 👆 3. HOW you respond is just as important as WHAT you say Interviewers love asking questions you weren't expecting or that catch you off guard. Here HOW you respond is often more important than what you say! Stay calm, poised, and listen carefully to the question so you can respond appropriately. Follow these 3 tips and you'll ace your next job interview! #Interviewing #Career
