As we share this insightful infographic from ELT Professionals, it's worth reflecting on the synergy between classroom discussion strategies and Krashen's Input Hypothesis. Krashen's theory emphasizes the importance of comprehensible input in language acquisition, suggesting that learners acquire language best through understanding language slightly above their current level. Classroom discussions align perfectly with this concept. They provide a dynamic environment where students can engage with language that challenges and extends their current understanding.
This infographic outlines the '5 Reasons to Use Discussion Strategies in the Classroom' are beneficial. It underscores how discussions not only foster enhanced comprehension - a key tenet of Krashen's hypothesis - but also promote critical thinking, active learning, confidence building, and continuous feedback. These elements collectively create a rich, immersive language-learning experience that aligns with the natural, intuitive acquisition that Krashen advocates. Let's dive into how these classroom practices can transform the ESL learning journey.

Good question on SPEED...My 2 cents on IMPACT of schedule III=S3 (which almost certainly is coming)...
-it will NOT impact any State program. It cannot. States have rights imbued by the constitution which only states can change. A state may CHOOSE to alter their programs around schedule III, but they will not be mandated to do so. To mandate would be to violate the constitution.
-S3 will create opportunities for drug development companies to develop under botanical new drug, as long as they have an IP strategy (which will look different than traditional drug development)
-S3 will create a MYRAID of opportunities for new drugs. We will have drugs based on all manner of cannabinoids mixed with all manner of natural products.
-S3 will bring an ocean of resources and opportunities to a flagging marijuana industry (the price for SOP/S3 level marijuana will and should be much higher per pound)
-S3 will bring much needed research to the marijuana ecosystem.
-S3 will bring clinical trials which will more fully complete the safety and risk aspects of using marijuana as a medicine
-S3 will be a HUGE win for patients as now marijuana will be in the insurance system
-S3 will impact state regulators in a big way and states need to begin to plan for how they will regulate S3 type companies and activities
