I still find it amazing that anyone can buy a cheap card, slap it into their computer and get satellite images like this: https://lnkd.in/gmCpPSrj #Space #Astronomy #Science #Physics #Programming #Programmer #SoftwareEngineering #SoftwareEngineer

I am thrilled to share my success in implementing a Monocular Visual Odometry (VO) pipeline as part of the course "Vision Algorithms for Mobile Robotics" at UZH and ETH. 🎯 Project Focus: Developed under Prof. Davide Scaramuzza's guidance, the project aimed at estimating 3D motion using a single camera. Key objectives included initializing 3D landmarks, tracking keypoints, and continuous triangulation by leveraging Python, OpenCV, and NumPy. 📊 Results & Reflections: Despite facing challenges such as scale ambiguity and drift, this journey not only enriched my understanding of computer vision but also enhanced my collaborative skills. Working in a group context proved invaluable, fostering both technical growth and teamwork abilities.

Embarking on a journey into the realms of ROS & Matlab! Presently immersing myself in the intricacies of simulating an underactuated humanoid robot. I must commend Pranav Bhounsule for his invaluable lectures, which have proven to be an indispensable resource for budding roboticists like myself, especially with an engineering background. Check out this initial visualization of a 16 DOF bipedal using Matlab multibody. If you share a passion for legged robotics, I invite you to reach out and explore possibilities for collaboration and mutual learning. Let's embark on this educational odyssey together! #ROS #Matlab #robotics #simulation #bipedal #collaboration #education #leggedrobotics #leggedlocomotion

Exploring Passive Motion Paradigm (PMP) with UR5 I recently delved into PMP control for robots and decided to code and simulate a computational model of it using Peter Corke's Python Robotics Toolbox (RTB). Here's a video of my UR5 robot arm, where I use a PMP model to move its end effector to a target pose using the Swift browser-based simulator. The Python RTB is a great tool for anyone learning or teaching robotics, especially for robot kinematics; an excellent implementation of the MATLAB RTB in Python. #robotics #pmp#pythonRTB#UR5

Completion of training in STK software 💻 I'm excited to announce that I've successfully completed a training in STK software. software overview:- STK (Systems Tool Kit) is digital mission engineering, providing a physics-based simulation environment for modeling and simulating missions both analytically and visually. STK covers various aspects of space and satellite operations, such as orbital mechanics, altitudes of satellite operation, linking different segments of a space system, creating satellite constellations, launching rockets, and integrating with other software like MATLAB, Python, and Excel.

Happy to share the first moment in my students' journey for controlling the robotic arm through Python coding! it was very exciting to see the robot moves based on their defined trajectory 🙂 This is a part of the Applied Industrial Robotics modules for the Msc in Robotics and Autonomous Systems at Aston University. The setup uses embedded system (NVIDIA Jetson) and Kinova Robotic arm. The system is running Ubuntu 22.04. #Robotics #astonuniversity #Python #Education #Kinova #Ubuntu #Nvidia
