Strong outgoing open and friendly personality who enjoys fixing stuff. I have specialised in maintaining reliability and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment.
good job. young people learning trades are our future and business with government should be doing more to give inexperienced young people to learn the trades and then management skills. management skills without a trades experience creates unrealistic expectations. what commonality is there between an aiconditionioned office and and a factory floor , construction site?
It’s National Apprenticeship Week 2024, where we recognise our commitment to training future ready skills. Hady Samrah is in his second year of an Automotive - Mobile Plant Technology apprenticeship, working under the watchful eye of our Mechanic, Darrel Le Lant. Of his experience at Gremalco, Hady said: “I’ve always had an interest in mechanics so it was an obvious choice for me to do an apprenticeship. Day to day I get involved with servicing and repairs or fault finding on a wide range of construction machinery and vehicles. Every day is different, I can be in the workshop or out on site. I’m also learning extra skills like fabrication and machining from Darrel.” Gremalco strongly believes in developing from within to ensure a pipeline of capable and skilled workers. We are proud of our tradies, Darrel Le Lant, Matt Benson and Reg Prasad, who dedicate their time to train and mentor our apprentices.

It’s time to celebrate the skilled trades! November is Apprenticeship Recognition Month in BC – an opportunity to recognize our talented apprentices and those who support them. RCABC is a Designated Training Provider for @skilledtradesbc and provides in-depth, high-quality technical training for BC’s roofing industry apprentices. We’re committed to making education more accessible by investing in apprenticeship training. Each year, RCABC provides thousands of dollars in bursaries to students enrolled in RCABC’s Red Seal Roofer and Architectural Sheet Metal Worker programs. And, as governments continue to provide funding to ease the financial barriers employers face to hire and train first-year apprentices, there may never be a better time to take on an apprentice. . Interested in apprenticeship opportunities? Check out BCCA’s Apprenticeship Services: https://lnkd.in/gUV-M2xh. To celebrate #nationalapprenticeshipweek we have been celebrating stories of those who started their career as SEC apprentices and their achievements to date. Next up is Russell, who started his career with SEC in 1998, completing his NVQ Level 3 in 2001. "After my feedback our Apprenticeship programme was developed to ensure that trainees were given hands on experience from the first year, to progress on the tools quicker and advance in carpentry skills to their full potential. Second fix carpentry wasn't really for me as I didn't have the patience to re-do it and preferred first fix, but as I gained confidence in first fix work my confidence also gained in second fix which I developed to a good standard. As products and tools have changed over the years it is an ongoing learning process about new products and tools that can make the job easier, I also enjoy passing on the knowledge I have been taught to new apprentices and improvers." #nationalapprenticeshipweek #southeasterncarpentry #carpentrycareers #carpentryandjoinery
