The photo of the new machine is the 1st ever HC I purchased for a 66 month hire. Back then I was a bit sceptical about this new product (to me) as I have been a salesman not an engineer! The truck is now in our works awaiting a rework for a customer who wanted a good secondhand machine. So belive me when I say to customers I know just how good these machines are I know! I see the parts and repair bills. If I take the servicing costs out of the maintenance pot for this machine (every forklift supplier has to service their machines) it has cost me LESS THAN £100 and still the big boys slag the product off. This customer has 4 on site now and told me in the 66 months he has hired it the damage bills were less than £750, the other forklifts they had averaged out at over £7000 and a seat replacement was £975.00 With all the above in mind JUST ASK the salesperson (gender thing) the cost of let's say a seat or a replacement light also are their engineers on commission to find damage because lots are!!!! #yorkshirehandling #familybusiness #hcforklift #honestselling #yorkshirebusiness #justask

#FORKLIFT WHAT IS A FORKLIFT? A Forklift is a very powerful tool that we use to lift and transport heavy loads from one point to another, hence making work become easy. SOME STEPS TO FOLLOW BEFORE OPERATING A FORKLIFT. *Ensure you have the correct PPE with you eg(saftey gloves, saftey boots,High reflective clothing,hard hat,saftey goggles) depending on the work environment. *Conduct a field level and Job saftey analysis. *Do a walk around inspection. *Conduct a pre-start(check all fluid levels and ensure the equipment is fit for operations if not, escalate to you supervisor so that corrective measures and preventive measures are taken. *start the machine and check if all implements are responding. *Ensure the load you are lifting doesn't exceed the maximum mass load limit. *Ensure the load is secured on the pallet or secured with a sling. .Make sure the forks are near to the ground when transporting the load. .Do not over speed when transporting the load(Not more than 10km/hr) . Ensure that you have a spotter or watchman to give you signals on blind spots. WHAT TO DO AFTER OPERATIONS . *Lower the forks to the ground. *Apply park brake to prevent the machine from rolling. *Switch off the engine and remove keys from the ignition. *Apply three point contact and disembark from the machine.
