April continues the record streak of American employees' job security with 1.0% of employees fired. In our two decades of pre-pandemic data, the lowest share of employees fired in a month was 1.1%, which happened in 2% of months. Since Jan 2021, the firing rate has been at or below 1.1% in 95% of months, including for the entire last year.
