Big thanks to everyone who came out for the "Move Fast, Do No Harm" tech talk at Courier Health HQ on Wednesday 🙌 NYC's #digitalhealth community is thriving, and it was inspiring to meet so many people looking to drive positive change across #healthcare. Moderator Alex Koshykov and panelists Alexander Moore Molly McGrath Kaiying Liao covered a range of engineering-related topics. Here are some moments that stood out👇 🏃♂️ Whether you're just starting out or looking to scale, change is the only constant in a startup environment. The more you can prepare yourself (and your teams) for this reality, the better off you'll be. 🙅♀️ Just because your P&E org *can* do something doesn't mean you should. Be thoughtful about where you can "win" (and where you should invest your technical resources) and where existing approaches or tools in the market can work. 🎯 Stay laser-focused. While each panelist spoke to the defined problem space that drew them to their current startup/product, each also emphasized the importance of ruthless prioritization during #productdevelopment. Avoid shiny object syndrome. 🤗 Index on people. When joining an early stage startup (but really any company), it's the founding team and people that matter. Be honest with yourself and each other. Particularly in #heathtech, ask whether you're philosophically aligned when it comes to compliance, security, and risk. Across the founding team, do you have core competencies covered? Is anyone pretending they're something that they're not? Self-awareness in a startup environment is key.
Great insights! Thanks for sharing - I especially like the point of focus and prioritization in product development.
Wonderful event with one heck of a panel. 👏🏾
