There are times when you need to think differently about the way you’ve been doing things. Or in our case, engineering things. Today, Intel Corporation launched Xeon 6! We’ve never designed a family of data center processors like this before. Because our customers are running so many different types of workloads, we knew they needed more flexible compute. Xeon 6 has two types of cores: P-cores for performance, and E-cores for efficiency. Why does this matter? Because it lets our customers choose how to optimize for what they need. If they’re running workloads like AI, P-cores are up to the challenge. If their goal is to lower their power consumption, E-cores give them exceptional core density and energy efficiency. What could you do differently if you could optimize for performance and efficiency without compromise? Read on for details: https://lnkd.in/gSuRHAnU

At Dell Technologies World 2024, Charlie Kawwas was on stage with Jeff Clarke. It was quite the remarkable sight watching two engineers banter and enjoy their shiny “Made with Silicon” toys. But then, the two companies have also had a remarkable collaboration to bring the best of Networking to the AI Enterprise. Much in line with the Broadcom AI vision, Charlie talked about 👉 Open, scalable and power-efficient AI hardware as the world moves to a Million-strong GPU cluster. 👉 The fundamental importance of Networking in AI. 👉 Ethernet and PCIe as the standards enabling scale (up and out)! 👉 CPO as a future trend in networking that brings scale, reduces cost and power. 👉 Dell’s fantastic PowerSwitch and PowerEdge products using our Tomahawk 5 and our Thor2 400G Ethernet NIC respectively. The future is bright. The future is AI. And we are busy #enablingAI for our partners and giving them the #connectedbybroadcom advantage.

"Don't Bring Me Down"... Maximizing Data Center Uptime with Intel® In-Field Scan Data center operators surely have a soft spot for the ELO rock classic and place big value on quality + reliability to ensure consistent operations vs. concerns about how fleet disruptions may surface. "You got me runnin', goin' out of my mind. You got me thinkin' that I'm wastin' my time. Don't bring me down! No, no, no, no, no, oh-ooh-hoo!!" Removing that anxiety & costs, while enhancing customer/user experiences are reasons why Intel developed Intel® In-Field Scan. This unique feature, available w/ 5th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, allows for very fast CPU cores diagnostics w/o taking the node off-line. A recent publication explains this innovation, plus key considerations wrt testing frequency. https://lnkd.in/gzbtq5tV As all business processes go digital... from transaction services to website engagement, even a brief outage can lead to substantial revenue loss. Moreover, hits to customers' trust are difficult to recover from and rebuilding damaged brand reputation is a time-consuming endeavor. So, "I'll tell you once more before I get off the floor"... Intel In-Field Scan was developed to allow system admin to test for reliability failures for easier mitigation & minimal downtime, which keeps business operations going right... day & night! I’m proud of the Intel team, who developed this technology for customers, and your feedback is music to our ears, so please share & rock on! #IntelXeon #AI #IamIntel
