Seppic Beauty Care 's natural, biodegradable Solagum AX #thickener 🍃 (INCI: Acacia Senegal Gum (and) Xanthan Gum) was recently clinically shown to impart lifting and other skin benefits just 30 min after application. Additional effects with Solagum AX at 1% include, per the company: 💦 sensation of freshness during application, ☀️ brighter and more radiant skin complexion, 🐦 reduction in crow’s feet wrinkles and spots, and ✔️skin-softening effects. The #multifunctional rheology modifier is said to perform better than xanthan gum alone in terms of thickening and #stabilizing formulas, while bringing film-forming, soothing and moisturizing properties.💧 The polymer also reportedly imparts a better #aqueous sensation with a non-stringy effect and, as previously described, is water-soluble, dissolving quickly, and is #compatible with hydrophilic pigments. 👄 Read more here: https://brnw.ch/21wMC1e

ORIGINAL ARTICLE Controlling the formation of ionic complex vesicles through double-tailed surfactants Makoto Uyama, Tetsuya Hama Liposomes are often used in cosmetics since they are naturally derived and have excellent texture enhancing capabilities. However, when preparing them by using phospholipids with unsaturated acyl groups, they easily suffer from oxidative degradation. Accordingly, hydrogenated phospholipids are preferred, however, it is difficult to prepare stable liposomes due to its high gel-liquid crystalline phase transition temperature. On the other hand, although dialkyl dimethyl ammonium type cationic surfactants are widely known to form vesicles, they have rarely been used for skincare products except for water-in-oil type emulsion creams stabilized by organically modified clay minerals. We decided to overcome all of the problems above through ionic complex vesicles formed by double-tailed cationic and anionic surfactants. https://lnkd.in/eUuS7Znm

In the realm of cosmetics, lecithin stands out as a versatile and effective ingredient, capable of transforming your products into skincare powerhouses. Often associated with its moisturizing properties, lecithin's true potential lies in its unique composition of phospholipids, the building blocks of cell membranes. These phospholipids play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of your cosmetic formulations, offering benefits that extend far beyond basic hydration. Lecithin's phospholipids possess an extraordinary ability to form liposomes, microscopic spheres that encapsulate water within their lipid bilayers. This remarkable property enables the creation of highly efficient moisturizers that deliver deep hydration to the skin. Liposomes act as miniature reservoirs, releasing their precious water cargo upon contact with the skin's surface. This targeted delivery ensures that the skin receives the moisture it needs, leaving it feeling supple, refreshed, and revitalized. Incorporate our lecithins into your cosmetic formulations and discover the transformative power of phospholipids. From superior hydration to biocompatibility and sustainability, lecithin elevates your products to new heights, leaving your customers with a radiant, healthy complexion that reflects the true essence of natural beauty. Have you heard about chayote fruit? I hadn’t. Chayote is an edible plant, used in vegetable stews like sambar. However, it is also gaining traction in the cosmetics world. A Japanese company, Ikeda Corporation, has come up with a use of this fruit in cosmetics industry – apparently, its extract can be used to suppress skin aging. Let me explain: UV rays, specifically UVA, reach the dermis (middle layer of the skin) and produce reactive oxygen species, causing skin aging. The chayote fruit extract contains mineral components, α-hydroxy acids, free amino acids, oligosaccharides, and polysaccharides, which suppress production of these reactive oxygen species. As a result, it is possible to prevent skin aging caused by UV rays. Interestingly, Ikeda Corporation has filed a patent application on a skincare composition based on an extract of chayote fruit to prevent such skin aging. #innovation #patents #cosmetics #skincare #aging #ageing

Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) 101 Also known as fruit acids, AHAs include glycolic, lactic, mandelic, malic, and citric acid. What are the most common AHAs in skincare? Glycolic and lactic acid. AHAs diminish corneocyte cohesion acting as superficial exfoliants. Glycolic acid also accelerates collagen synthesis and can soften fine lines and wrinkles. Lactic acid is a chemical exfoliant with moisturizing properties. Both glycolic and lactic can be formulated at higher concentrations and used as chemical peels for skin rejuvenation. Will you apply live bacteria on your skin? It will help you keep skin healthy. Probiotics, with all their benefits, are highly sensitive to their growing environment. They have difficulty in surviving on the skin surface, and cannot survive in skincare products due to the preservatives and water-rich environment. A recent innovation solves this – a skincare formulation including an encapsulated probiotic in a medium (e.g. lotion, cream, a serum, etc.) The encapsulated probiotic includes 4 layers: · a core of sucrose, whey protein, starch, cellulose, etc. as a nutrient source for probiotics · a layer surrounding the core consisting of probiotic species and a prebiotic (a protein or a saccharide), again as a food source for the probiotic · a polymer layer surrounding the first layer, and · a dissolvable layer surrounding the polymer layer and protecting the probiotic from oxidation, heat and humidity The medium helps in forming a synthetic biofilm providing an environment for probiotics colonization. The skincare formulation can be used for inflammation, dehydration, acne, infection, and reddening. This amazing innovation is from a US patent application filed by Nano and Advanced Materials Institute, Hong Kong. #InnovationForAll #Innovation #Patent #Cosmetics #Skincare #Probiotics #Biotechnology

Oxybiome and Skincare 💡 Oxybiome is a combination of postbiotic Saccharomyces Ferment Lysate and four amino acids (Threonine, Valine, Glycine, and Glutamic Acid). Saccharomyces Ferment Lysate is a postbiotic yeast obtained through fermentation, specifically from the baker's yeast strain VdH2, known for its ability to provide high energy. Oxybiome is designed to work deep within the skin's cellular structure, reaching up to 10 layers. Its primary function is to increase cell oxygen uptake, leading to high-energy cells. This, in turn, boosts skin cell turnover, addressing issues like dullness, dryness, dark spots, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, and rough texture. The overall result is expected to be bouncy and glowing skin. 👩 The positive effects after using formulations featuring Oxybiome associated with niacinamide and summer plum , includes glowing skin, an improvement in smoothness, an increase in skin moistness, and a 2.4x rise in skin elasticity.

1moSolagum AX seems to be an amazing ingredient but the claim of skin lifting in just 30 minutes after application seems super amazing.
