😅 When we say be open to 𝗽𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝘂𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀, this is NOT what we mean! Recently, Ross Pomerantz of Corporate Bro shared a sales call reenactment that’s probably one of the 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁 we’ve ever heard. 🤯 The call starts calmly with a 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹, yet uninterested prospect. But things took a sharp turn when the rep called the prospect a "𝗡𝗼-𝗺𝗮𝗻." It went from 𝟬 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟬𝟬 real quick! 🚀 Did the rep cross the line, or was the prospect's reaction over the top? In our view, there are no hard-and-fast rules for being a prospect, so we’re leaning toward siding with the "𝗡𝗼-𝗺𝗮𝗻" on this one. But what do you think? Share your thoughts with us below! P.S. Don’t call them your “best cold caller”. Tell everyone they’re your “best seller”. Because cold calling is selling in its rawest form. Sending emails, not so much. Plus they deserve the extra respect. Since they’re extra valuable. Hats off to all the best “sellers” out there. Keep dialing. #sales #coldcalling

If you're Cold Calling today and it doesn't start off well remember the only thing you can 100% control is your effort and enthusiasm. It's part and parcel of sales, we have good days, bad days and even worse days. The only thing we can do is keep going, the rest will fall into place, assuming you have a basic level of sales competence. #sales #coldcalling

Cold calls don't always go to plan, so it's important to be able to adapt, and if you can do so with a bit of humility and sense of humour, your calls will benefit from it. Sometimes the prospect is rude, sometimes they ask a difficult question you didn't expect, and sometimes they're with their wife (who is laughing in the background) on the way to buy a carpet. One of the most common objections prospects use is just send me your information because it is very effective at getting rid of salespeople without making the prospect look like a bad person. The worst thing you can do is let the call end and then spend your valuable time putting together an email with your information.
