Who’s ready to move beyond the free gift card tactic? 🙋🏼♂️ In most cases demand gen teams using this incentive tactic are incentivized themselves on top of funnel metrics. - number of demos booked - number of gift cards issued - number of “leads” generated Measure the downstream impact and these tactics result in very low conversions and the vanity metrics don’t align with business outcomes. This is where demand gen teams cheer with “success” while the business revenue is not succeeding. Save the gift cards and look at demand that converts. Bonus tip: understand your personas and your targeting. Offering a gift card to VP’s or above is not going to convert. Create some genuine value and own a narrative.
