Indian startups surged ahead, taking in $628.24 million in funding, 175% more than last week’s figures. Growth-stage and early-stage deals marked the funding scenario this time around. . The growth-stage funding sphere was abuzz with 14 startups raising funds amounting to $566.44 million in total. The top one was PW (PhysicsWallah), the edtech startup, with $210 million raised for a massive funding round. Prosperr.io, Fintech SaaS platform for automating income tax, has raised $1.55 Mn in its pre-seed round led by Gokul Rajaram among other angels, to develop the company’s AI-first tax advisor. GreyLabs AI, a speech analytics platform for financial institutions, has raised over $1.5 Mn in a seed round led by Matrix Partners India, it is all set to revolutionize how banks, financial institutions, and fintechs extract actionable insights from unstructured data. Go Zero, ice cream maker, has raised $1.5 Mn in its follow-on pre-Series A funding round led by existing investors DSG Consumer Partners, Saama, and V3 Ventures, among others, for expanding its growth in quick and e-commerce and reaching Tier 1 cities. Ayna, enabling brands to create studio-quality product photoshoots without physical photoshoot, has raised $1.5 Mn led by Inflexor Ventures, to enhance capabilities, expand team and expand business operations. Asaya, skincare brand, has raised INR 12 Cr in seed funding led by OTP Ventures and Huddle Ventures, for R&D of products that cater to melanin-specific needs, and enhancing market reach. Rockit, new-age beverage brand, raised INR 6 Cr pre-seed investment round led by Sauce.VC and Rannvijay Singha, for scaling offline distribution in North India and creating brand awareness and increased presence in the market. Aviotron Aerospace , EdTech startup provider of training workshops to educational institutions and corporates, has raised $250k in a fresh funding round from Enrission India Capital Inc. Metis uses AI and ML to create solutions for BFSI by capitalizing on, triangulating, and collating multiple sources of information, has raised INR 1.3 Cr from Inflection Point Ventures, for developing cutting-edge solutions, maximizing strategic use cases, and investigating opportunities for local and international outreach. BioCompute Inc, startup using DNA for data storage, won a non-equity climate entrepreneurship grant worth Rs 31 lakh at the SusCrunch 2024 event. Anveya Living Private Limited, owns D2C brands offering cosmetics and haircare solutions has raised an undisclosed sum from Ananta Capital for developing new products and global expansion. Praan, specializes in AI-based air pollution solutions has raised an undisclosed amount from angels and family offices for expanding its India team and stabilizing the supply chain. LimeChat, AI-powered chatbot for eCommerce has raised an undisclosed amount from Soonicorn Ventures. Quidich Innovation Labs, a sports broadcasting technology startup has raised an undisclosed amount in a funding round led by Centre Court Capital for technology development and geographical expansion.
#WeeklyIndianStartupUpdates - Part 1 It was a busy week in the startup ecosystem where as many as 33 Indian startups raised around $935.35 Mn in funding this week. These deals count 13 growth-stage deals and 20 early-stage deals. Early Stage Deals: OrbitShift.AI, Building an AI-powered one-stop sales platform for businesses, has raised $7 Mn in seed funding from Peak XV and Stellaris Venture Partners, to fuel the expansion of product footprint and geographical reach. Alyve Health, platform for preventive health management with personalized healthcare plans, has raised $5.5 Mn in a Series A funding round led by Axilor Ventures, 1Crowd Fund and Inhealth Ventures, for platform enhancement, talent acquisition, expansion of operations, amplification of services, and higher member engagement. Balwaan Krishi, agritech startup making farm equipment, has raised $3.3 Mn from JM Financial to enhance marketing efforts, support working capital needs, and expand the distribution network. The Pant Project, a D2C fashion brand focused on custom-made and ready-to-wear pants, has raised $4.25 Mn in a series-A round led by Sorin Investments, among others, to open new brick-and-mortar stores across the country and expand its bottom wear offerings. Skye Air Mobility, a drone logistics solution provider, has secured Series A funding of $4 Mn from Mount Judi Ventures, Chiratae Ventures, among many others, which will be used to expand the company's operations across Gurugram and other cities for healthcare, and quick-commerce deliveries. Supermoney (GetClarity Fintech Services Pvt Ltd), SME-focused lending platform has secured $3.4 Mn from Capital 2B and Capria Ventures, to expand loan disbursement activities and improve operational efficiencies. Distil, a specialty chemical platform, has raised $3.1 Mn in a seed funding round led by Jungle Ventures and India Quotient, with participation from other investors, to expand its teams across sales, research and development, and other areas. MaximAI, an enterprise-grade evaluation and observability platform for AI applications, announced a $3 Mn funding round led by Elevation Capital, among others, to use the funds to expand its team and scale its operations to partner with more leading enterprises building AI products. MeetRecord, revenue automation startup helping businesses increase sales and focus on customer engagement, has raised $2.7 Mn in a pre-series A funding round led by SWC Global and All In Capital. POP, Fintech enhancing shipping and payment experiences, has raised $2.4 Mn led by India Quotient and other angels, funds will be used to expedite various initiatives, including the launch of POP UPI Play. Unikon.ai, AI-powered social media platform, has raised $2 Mn in its seed round from multiple angels. It helps by offering 1:1 conversations to its users on diverse topics, and a personalized content feed.
