BILLING vs MANAGING You’re a billing manager - aka the toughest job in agency. You were probably decent at recruiting, maybe you were even a top billing consultant. They then promoted you. You now have less time and more pressure to deliver the individual results your agency relies so heavily on. PLUS managing the 3 juniors that now report into you, that require your time and focus. Afterall they are still learning the job. But you’ve never led teams before. You’re a novice and you know it. Doing deals your way is in your comfort zone. Developing others, managing performance, motivating, and having difficult conversations is not! Are you the expert recruiter and the novice manager? If you need some insights into supporting your team, ping Rob Smith a note. He's happy to chat through and give some guidance. Your team will appreciate it! #recruitment #management

Advice for the Financial Coordinator – Schedule time to address overdue accounts. Rather than letting collection activities take a backseat, give them priority treatment. Set aside specific times when you will focus on collecting overdue payments. The time allotted will depend on the volume of accounts needing attention. You may even need to consider hiring a part-time temporary employee to target those outstanding accounts. Various performance targets can be established as motivators, e.g., the number of parents contacted per week, or the amount of overdue revenue collected per month.

Giving Recruiters the Tools to Consistently and Confidently Win New Business | Recruitment Sales Leader | Dad | LEGO nerd |
Billing manager. The hardest job in recruitment...but it doesn't have to be. Are you driving with the handbrake on? One of the key reasons being a billing manager is so hard is that your results are so unpredictable. Your team is doing ad-hoc BD that sometimes picks up jobs, but a lot of times doesn't. And your top performers rarely make consistent wins, whilst rookies take more of your time and energy than you can offer. You feel as though failing your top performers by not helping them be consistent. You wonder if you’re failing you're rookies by not giving them enough support. AND you're worried about missing your target despite all the hours you put in. Now the same is true for sourcing and delivery. You're playing the game on HARD MODE. The answer? Document your BD process. - Nail your ICP: Who to call / email / dm - Craft the message: What to say / write / record - Know your process: How to book meetings, handle objections, keep things moving - Commitment strategy: How to turn meetings into commitments, sell retainers and onboard clients Then show your team how to reliably and consistently get results from their BD. The best will win more, the least good will win less. But everyone will win the same way, day in day out. The first thing you say when they ask for help is; "Which step in the process have you got up to? And Where did it stop working?" Managing without a playbook is just trying to organize chaos. ___________________________ UPDATE: We have added capacity to bring on TWO new businesses in April. Get in touch now to find out how to be considered.
