Transparency is an important factor in clinical research, and this extends to informed consent documentation. In 2019, the so-called revised Common Rule in the US required certain clinical trials with federal funding to publicly post their consent forms within a given timeframe. But has this made a difference to transparency? According to a cross-sectional study of over 10,000 trials, it has.
