Employee Exploitation: SAY 'NO' TO EXPLOITATION!! #longworkinghours #humanrights #saynotoexploitation #employeeexploitation #employee #employer #socialjustice: Exploiting employees undermines their dignity and violates their fundamental rights in the workplace. Employee exploitation perpetuates inequality by exploiting vulnerable workers for the benefit of those in power. The practice of exploiting workers through low wages and harsh working conditions fosters a culture of injustice within organizations. Exploitative labor practices not only harm individual employees but also erode trust and morale within the workforce. Employers who engage in exploitation prioritize profit over the well-being and fair treatment of their employees. Employee exploitation thrives in environments where labor laws are weakly enforced or nonexistent. Exploiting employees by denying them fair compensation and adequate working conditions is a form of modern-day slavery. Employee exploitation leads to a cycle of poverty and deprivation for workers and their families. Exploiting employees creates a toxic work environment characterized by fear, stress, and dissatisfaction. Employers who engage in exploitation risk damaging their reputation and facing legal consequences. Exploiting employees not only harms individuals but also undermines the overall productivity and sustainability of businesses. The systemic nature of employee exploitation requires comprehensive measures to address root causes and ensure fair labor practices. Organizations that prioritize ethical treatment of employees outperform those that engage in exploitation in the long run. Exploiting employees perpetuates social and economic inequality, hindering progress towards a more just and equitable society. Combatting employee exploitation requires collective action from governments, businesses, and civil society to enforce labor standards and promote human rights in the workplace.

"Nobody wants to work anymore." "Anyone can do this job." Actually, the best contract workers want to be around other people who want to work. And your attitude here is everything. If you’re creating an environment where you view contract workers as interchangeable, and your expectations of them are low, you won’t be able to retain the best workers. So you’ll be faced with a revolving door of new people and personnel issues. Sounds like a self-fulfilling prophecy, right? Build an environment of people who want to be there, who work hard, and who care, and you’ll be able to attract and retain the top talent. This is part of a conversation Matt Gorman, Upshift CRO, had with a CSCMP chapter that covered “What the best hourly workers really want.”

The concept of 'fire and rehire' gained attention in 2022 after P&O Ferries dismissed 800 employees without consultation, sparking controversy. This practice involves companies terminating employees only to immediately rehire them or others on less favourable terms. P&O's actions were not unique, as many businesses adopted similar strategies, leading to widespread media coverage and public debate. The backlash spurred the government to introduce a new statutory Code of Practice on dismissal and re-engagement. Published in April, this code aims to address such unethical practices and protect employee rights. Read our full article on how the new Code of Practice may affect your business here https://lnkd.in/e8BEkcRZ #whenitcomestopeople #FireAndRehire #EmployeeRights
