Hi LI world… The people and businesses of many mountain towns of NC need your help. Businesses were destroyed. Unbelievable amounts of flooding, not just in Asheville, but also up in the northern part of the state in Ashe County…businesses and people are coming together to drive supplies to Lansing, NC from Carrboro at Fitch Lumber, which currently isn’t getting help otherwise. I’m sharing because I’ve been here and know people whose homes/businesses are impacted. And in the end, we are all connected to one another and it’s about supporting each other, so please consider supporting this community. Normally I’m a giant advocate of financial contributions to org’s like the Red Cross and large org’s prepared for on-the-ground help (bc I know they often times there can be too many “things” that go unused and cash is more flexible to help folks get what they actually need), but consider the groups below because they will get used. And if you work for a company that offers a $$ match if you give to a non-profit org (like Red Cross), please ask for a match, because your dollars will double). You hang this on the designated tree at the entrance of The Supplierdays. There will be someone from treebytree to give you further explanation. For each keychain, treebytree will regenerate a tree. Thus, as a distributor, you contribute to building the 'promo-industry forest'. Additionally, you can personally experience the joy of receiving a Treebytree tree. Proposed Cuts to Rural Mail Service Pose Fresh Threat to Co-ops, Members (National Rural Electric Cooperative Association) “If rural mail service continues to decline—and it will under this new proposal—electric cooperatives will have to take a hard look at how we reach our members,” Peterson said. “A functioning and effective rural mail service is critical to how electric cooperatives communicate with member-owners.” This latest move would eliminate mail pickup in the evenings from many rural post offices, adding another day of delivery time to mostly first-class mail, according to the Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers. https://lnkd.in/gmsx42Wh
