It’s a natural tendency—our brains are wired to hold onto negative experiences like Velcro, while positive moments often slip away like Teflon. This negativity bias helped our ancestors survive, but today, it can make it harder to focus on the good in our lives. Here’s how to counteract this bias: Consciously Savor the Good: When something positive happens, take a moment to truly savor it. Whether it’s a compliment, a small victory, or a moment of joy, let it linger in your mind. The longer you hold onto these good experiences, the more they can stick. Practice Gratitude Daily: Make a habit of acknowledging the positives in your life, no matter how small. Gratitude helps rewire your brain to notice and appreciate the good, gradually shifting the balance away from negativity.
