Here we are. Kicking off another week. My team has a challenging, yet exciting week ahead. We are taking on something in house that has historically been outsourced and we are ready for this! My goal is to make it as successful as I can by doing a few simple things: 1. Provide feedback respectfully Creative work takes vision, passion, drive, and skill. It's easy to criticize. It’s hard to create. Provide thoughtful feedback, free of subjectivity. 2. Leave the ego at home We’re all here to make each other better, our work stronger and our customers happy. 3. Provide safety and trust Don’t let personal agenda, ego and competitiveness get in the way of working together toward shared goals. Time to get to it! Completely agree that something like a Product Board would drive a lot of value for most companies. Having worked in a support capacity for many product teams, I’ve seen firsthand how valuable an objective 3rd party perspective can be when reviewing their product, market performance, and roadmap. In reversed roles, I’d wish to have the same thing to help me arrive at the best answers and outcomes. I think one of the key reasons this concept of a Product Board can be so helpful is because it can be hard to get objective feedback from experienced people inside a organization. This is partly driven by social and organizational sensitivities that make it challenging to voice unfiltered feedback or ask the tough questions. Additionally, when you are very close to a problem for too long you can lose perspective on the bigger picture or remember to challenge basic assumptions that might skew your solution space.

Here’s what's shaping my days pre-NYE: 🤝 A focus on who is available, making longer time slots for meaningful convos. 🔒 Growth & Planning - Less noise means more space for personal growth and strategic planning, setting the stage for specific goals to start on in the new year.
