Chromatic distortion partial calibration: #digitalimaging #computervision This is our latest find. We came up with a new mathematical model that allows finding the camera behavior from a plain image, regardless of the image scale or focal distance. It allows 1- image enhancement, as a digital lens 2- chromatic correction of an aspherical lens curved for the green spectrum 3- identifying the camera from the image 4- putting a known object in front of the camera allows full calibration for scale... which in turn will allow full zooming lens modeling from the image by putting a reference in the lens itself That full disclosure will have to wait, we have several more to file before, needed for urgent work to be completed
