In celebration of International Women's Month, we've teamed up with Tess Resman, Digital and Brand Marketing Consultant at PepsiCo and member of the BeenThereDoneThat Partner Network, to present a series of interviews featuring members of The Band of Sisters. These six dynamic female business leaders have truly been there done that and continue to shape the future of the industry. ‘The Band’ is made up of six executive-level women who have seen it all, from the bottom rung to the boardroom. From corporate giants to nimble startups, they've navigated through male-dominated sectors, offering invaluable insights into inclusive leadership, workplace culture, and strategies for combating unconscious bias in the workplace. To kick off the series, we sat down with Katie Lacey who discusses how in an industry that has seen a lot of change over recent years, one thing has not changed fast enough - women’s role in the workplace. In each interview, we've asked the Sisters to nominate women they believe are leading the charge for change. Now, we invite you to do the same! If you know of any trailblazers who are making a significant contributions to the industry please tag them in the comments below and let's ignite the conversation! #internationalwomensmonth2024 #industryleaders #wherenext #beentheredonethat #thebandofsisters #womeninmarketing

In honor of International Women's Month, Tess Resman, member of the BeenThereDoneThat Partner Network, and I are interviewing members of The Band of Sisters, six change-making female business leaders who have all certainly been there, done that. In this episode we meet founding member of The Band of Sisters, Katie Lacey, who discusses how in an Industry that has seen a lot of change over recent years, one thing that has not changed fast enough is women's role in the workplace. Katie shares the idea of the broken first rung, how men get promoted on potential whereas woman get promoted on performance and how men may be aware of the issue but the answer is showing awareness in every moment. #industryleaders #wherenext

Linda Fegins teaches that persuasion is about influence rooted in purpose, not control. Imagine the possibilities when people rally behind your vision with enthusiasm! Women leaders know that commanding respect isn’t about control but empowering others to align with shared values. Creating a sense of ownership in others elevates results in board meetings or strategic planning sessions. Influence becomes sustainable when it’s grounded in purpose. When Suhasini Seshadri first approached me to discuss DCODE, she mentioned that I was referred to her by Sanjeeb Lahiri whom I consider a good friend and mentor. I agreed to meet her. Initially, we spoke on the phone, and a few months later, she invited me to meet her in person. Our meeting took place at our office, and we instantly realized that there was a strong connection between us. I felt a deep desire to be part of her work and contribute in any way I could. Suhasini came across as an empathetic, warm, and charming individual with an extraordinary understanding of human nuances. She invited me to her series, LEAD-HER-SHIP, for a chat about building and leveraging networks for women. We had an unedited, free-flowing, and very interesting conversation. Later, she asked me to nominate two mentees who would benefit from her program. I thought of two individuals who had the potential, and a month and a half later, I saw them starting this program with Suhasini. I am as excited as the cohort and Suhasini to see what impact this program will have on them for the better. I would like to encourage women out there not to wait for someone to invest in them. If you feel stuck or need a helping hand, if you’re there but those critical senior roles keep slipping out of your grasp, it’s time to take a deep dive into what is not working for you. Change the storyline, change the game. You can do it only when you realize you matter. For that, maybe some external help or a coach or a program like LEAD-HER-SHIP can help you. First learn how to lead yourself and the rest will follow. Disclaimer: This is not a paid ad. This is purely from my experience that how the content and curriculum have been set will be beneficial. #leadership #womenleaders #selfconfidence #grow #leadbyexample #dcode

Galvanising Change: Reflections from the Women Rising Book Launch! 👏🌍❤️ Honoured to have been part of the “Women Rising” book launch authored by Megan Dalla-Camina in Sydney last night, where we dove deep into what it really takes to lead change. The conversation, brilliantly facilitated by Tracey Spicer AM GAICD was a powerful reminder of the work ahead of us and the opportunity. Some of my key takeaways: - We need galvanisers who can unite and push for change. - The fact that only 10.4% of Fortune 500 CEOs are women is a stark reminder of the work left to do. - It’s time to step out of the patriarchy and into our own light. - We explored paradoxes around empowerment, confidence, leadership, and visibility—challenges we must navigate with nuance. - Change happens in the middle, and we must engage male allies in these crucial roles. - Understanding resistance and listening with empathy are critical. - Male allyship is the next frontier—we need to find and engage the men who believe whom other men respect. - The different archetypes we encounter at work, like the people pleaser or the overachiever, are shaped by the system, yet we have the tools to rise above. - We need to show compassion for the patriarchal female leader—it’s been a struggle, and they need support too. Let's continue to celebrate women supporting other women, honour ourselves, work together and find space in stillness to reflect on our visions. Together, we all rise! #womenrisingbook #Leadership #Empowerment #MaleAllyship #WomenSupportingWomen

On August 9th, CCC-I's Director, Sanjeeta Agnihotri (She/Her), took the center stage as the keynote speaker at International Center for Research on Women (ICRW)’s event, "Advancing Women in Health Leadership: Barriers and Breakthroughs." It wasn’t just another conference – it was a moment of awakening for women in leadership! Here are some key take-aways from her inspiring keynote address: ✨ Women Deserve More Than Just a Seat: Sanjeeta reminded us that leadership isn’t about waiting for a turn; it’s about creating the space where every woman belongs. Let’s pull each other up! ✨ Start Empowering Women Early: Why wait for women to reach senior roles before we support them? The real magic happens when we nurture, inspire, and guide women right from the start of their careers. ✨ The Power of Mentorship: Having strong female mentors is game-changing. Sanjeeta reminded us how crucial it is for women to lift each other up, creating a support system where everyone wins. At CCC-I, we don’t just believe in breaking glass ceilings – we’re committed to building a world where every woman can rise, lead, and thrive. 💪💜 Let’s keep pushing boundaries and making history – together! #WomenInLeadership #HealthLeadership #GenderEquality #MentorshipMatters #BreakingBarriers #EmpoweredWomenEmpowerWomen #LeadershipRevolution

Title: Women in Management: Shattering Ceilings and Still Finding Time for Coffee Story: Let’s be real: Women in management don't just break the glass ceiling – they do it with a cup of coffee in one hand, a spreadsheet in the other, and somehow still manage to stay calm when the printer jams. 🙄 They juggle meetings, lead teams, innovate, and crush goals – all while making it look effortless. But let’s be honest, behind every successful woman in leadership is a solid support system, a lot of caffeine, and a killer to-do list. It's time we realize that women aren’t just managing businesses—they’re running them, changing them, and making them better. And yes, they’ll still have time for lunch. Let’s empower, support, and celebrate women in leadership. After all, the future is female—and caffeinated. #WomenInLeadership #Empowerment #DiversityAndInclusion #WomenPower #Leadership #CoffeeAndConquer #BreakTheGlassCeiling #WomenInBusiness #FemaleLeaders #SupportWomen #WorkplaceEquality #WomenInManagement #LeadershipGoals #SheLeads #InspireChange #WomenEntrepreneurs #Cafecoffeeday #starbugs

Last week, during our monthly gathering at Women in Sight, we had the privilege of hosting a remarkable female leader, Seda Tekeci, who held a powerful webinar on the habits that hold us back. Seda, a life coach and a member of the Women in Sight advisory board, is deeply committed to women’s empowerment. Just last week, she launched a Women in Sight Turkish cohort, further expanding our mission to support and uplift women globally. During the session, Seda introduced us to an insightful method drawn from the bestselling book How Women Rise: Break the 12 Habits Holding You Back by Marshall Goldsmith and Sally Helgesen. She guided us in identifying common habits many of us share, debunking their impact, and transforming them into empowering practices to reclaim our power. It was truly inspiring to see the women engaging deeply, reflecting on their personal journeys, and uncovering the unconscious beliefs and behaviors that often limit us. Many of these habits stem from societal conditioning—pressures to conform to certain roles or expectations. But as Seda reminded us, we don’t need to be who society says we should be to earn appreciation or achieve success. For instance, many of us hesitate to say 'no' out of a desire to be supportive or helpful. Yet saying 'no' can be an act of profound kindness—not only toward others but, most importantly, toward ourselves. A heartfelt thank you to Seda for her invaluable contribution, her leadership, and her dedication to helping women rise stronger together. Stay tuned until our next webinar! #leadership #habits #limitingbeliefs #empowerment #potentialife #selfleadership #selfawareness
