Diversity is Like Pizza—Here’s Why It Works! 🍕 Weekends are all about unwinding, hanging out, and... pizza. But let’s be real—pizza is also the perfect metaphor for diversity. Think about it: Everyone has their go-to toppings. Some love classic pepperoni, others swear by mushrooms, and then there’s always that one person who’s team pineapple 🍍. But when you combine all those toppings, you create something way better than the sum of its parts—a masterpiece everyone can enjoy! That’s diversity in a nutshell. We all bring different tastes, ideas, and experiences to the table. And when you mix them together, the result is something unique and powerful. So the next time you grab a slice this weekend, remember: the best things in life come with a variety of flavours. Because whether it’s pizza or people, diversity makes everything better. 🍕 What’s your favorite pizza topping? Let’s settle the debate once and for all! 👇

Looking for a unique way to celebrate your team members and customers? Here's a tried-and-true method I've used for over two decades. In a sea of traditional gifts like fruit baskets and year-end tokens, I mail a Mardi Gras celebration! Mardi Gras might conjure images of Bourbon Street revelry, but the surprise part is their tasty signature dessert, the king cake. Send this delightful dessert to your team, customers, and partners. It's simple, budget-friendly, and the unexpected delivery brings joy to everyone. Here's the three key reasons why it's a winner: 1 - Who doesn't love dessert? 2 - There's a built in game 3 - The element of surprise makes it unforgettable. My go-to bakeries who ship anywhere are SugarLove Cakes, Gambino's Bakery & Catering Service, Inc. or Nonna Randazzo's Bakery. Mark your calendars for March 4, 2025 for next year's Fat Tuesday.

Last week, I needed to pick food up before heading home. It was one of those late days and way past dinner time. So, cooking was not an option. I decided to grab something quick. I went through the drive through, grabbed my food, and went home. I arrived at home and began winding down. I sat down to eat my food, and my excitement went completely flat. I do not know about you, but it does something to me when I grab takeout, get home, and the order is wrong. Or, in my case, they gave me the wrong sauce. We offer trust in many ways, but only verify once it is too late. I could have checked while at the restaurant, but I trusted them. The moral of the story is trust but verify. Too often, we extend the same trust as a leader and find ourselves with no sauce or a Dr. Pepper instead of a Coke (I'm just saying). Whether we are extending trust laterally or vertically, we have to spot check to verify. It does not say, "I do not trust you." As a leader, verifying allows you to discover misunderstandings, questions, or innovative ways to reach the desired goal satisfactorily. #2024leadershipdevelopment #leadershipdevelopment #trustbutverify #theapexprojectllc

Oktoberfest runs through October 6, and you don’t have to be Bavarian to observe this time-honored tradition. Last year Germans consumed almost 1.7 million gallons of beer at the Munich festival, but restaurants in the United States celebrate in their own fashion. A few last-minute ideas you can try: 🍺 Develop a beer promotion. Create specials around a German beer if you serve one. If not, promote a brand that needs a little love, enticing your guests to try something new. 🇩🇪 For non-beer drinkers, try other options, like a German wine, or a German-inspired food item (Schnitzel, Frankfurter, Bratwurst, Pretzels, etc.). ↩️ Create bounce-back specials for returning guests. (For example, spend a minimum amount on one Oktoberfest item and receive a complimentary beer or wine when you return before the end of October.) Hope this inspires some Oktoberfest revenue uptick at your restaurant. Prost! #RestaurantMarketing #RestaurantCampaigns #BounceBackCampaigns #Oktoberfest

Smart business tip right here
Partnering with restaurant owners to help them become the leaders they aspire to be, so they can achieve the freedom to live life on their own terms. Author- Hospitality Catalyst - Podcaster - Speaker
The easiest way to increase your guest spend by $6-$8 right now is this Add a non alcoholic option to your menu. Don’t just order it and leave it sitting behind the bar. Add it to the menu, taste your staff on it, let guests see the option behind the bar. Dry January is the best time to add N/A options to your list. My favorite right now is the Phony Negroni. If you have a Negroni on your menu already, you have an audience for this product! What’s your favorite N/A product right now? 👇 St. Agrestis Louis Catizone Randy Layman #nonalcoholic #dryjanuary #negroni
