I’m honored to share that I’m officially a member of the Forbes Business Council. I looked at the phone, and immediately I had a feeling of dread, "not again" I thought. For the 5th time this month, I almost knew it... "I can't come in today, sorry". Not today, surely... it's a massive day, and we simply HAVE to get this job out of the door and over the line. Cashflow depends on it. .... Thankfully, not a real call I took, but this kind of call is greeting business owners every day, and often it is due to the fact that their team can not see a doctor, or, they are waiting to get things fixed. Is it time for you to take action? A recent survey completed by Simplyhealth (other insurers are available 😁) said 81% of businesses felt poor employee health could decrease their company's productivity. Of the 500 HR decisions makers that took part in the survey: > 40% of organisations noticed their employees were struggling to access NHS care. > 70% of those now felt they had a great greater responsibility to look after their employees' health. ❣ Many of the sick days were due to mental health and muscolosketal issues. Oh Hrdaily. What have you done ? You publish that I was sacked for accusing my employer of covering up their own negligence. Were you at the Hearing ? Have you read the transcripts ? Why is this not a balanced report ? Did you not hear or read the part where I asked the man who made the decision to ‘sack’ me, Jerome Jordan – Opal Healthcare Regional General Manager, “What did I misinform the family about?” That was in relation to Jordan stating that I misinformed a family member of the resident that passed away soon after the incident I reported. Jerome Jordan's answer was, “I don’t know the exact dialogue that took place”. Do you understand hrdaily ? I was sacked for ‘misinforming’ the family, yet the man who signed off on my instant dismissal, has no idea what this ‘misinformation’ was. One might even question hrdaily, if the family was indeed misinformed, then who misinformed them ? And what was the motive behind that misinformation ? And what exactly, was this ‘misinformation’ ? Jerome Jordan also stated that “the son stated that you informed him of events that took place on the night”. I replied, “I informed the son?”. Jordan confirmed, “yes, that’s correct”. The son was not even at the facility, when I was on shift. That is a fact. The questions must arise then, why did Jerome Jordan instantly terminate the employment of an employee, who reported a very serious and concerning incident, knowing full well that the allegations of misinforming the family were baseless. Why would #OpalHealthcare accuse me of misinforming someone who wasn't even there, with information that itself does not know anything about ? Why ? That is the question. Who, in actual fact misinformed the family ? Was that the plan all along......accuse someone who reported a serious incident, with vexatious allegations, then sack them immediately when that person responds to you with terminology and language that you find unacceptable? Really ??? Who misinformed the family Jerome Jordan ? What was the misinformation? What is the truth #OpalHealthcare ? Shall we all sit in the same room together and talk it over ? And let's include Rachel Argaman (Herman) OAM the CEO of #OpalHealthcare. She deserves to know the truth. These decisions and mistruths are being made on her watch. Ignorance is no excuse. How about me, the family member who was 'misinformed', the carer who was there with me on the night, the nurse who was there that night, the morning nurse and staff, the rest of the family members who were 'informed' of the events of the night, and this one particular person who 'investigated' the matter, all sit in a room and discuss what information was given to the family? Who said what ? What were the facts of the matter ? What was the family actually informed about ? Did that information match the events of the night ? Who Really Is the Misinformant ? Only time will tell. And as they say, 'the truth Always comes out in the end'.
