I was recently speaking with a commercial director of a luxury, full service property about the #Revenue Culture in her organisation (one of our favourite topics at Right Revenue ). Everyone who joins the management team (across all departments - Golf, F&B, Spa etc including internal promotions and new hires) attends a mandatory 'Revenue Introduction' as part of their induction / onboarding programme. Simple - yes. Obvious - maybe? But it was the first time I had heard somebody talk about Revenue being given a specific 'slot' an induction programme... and it makes so much sense. The interesting bit, though: The feedback from most participants was along the lines of "This is the part of my induction I was dreading...but it has ended up being the part I enjoyed the most!" The kicker: Each participant is invited back for a (non mandatory) follow up session. A deeper dive. Nearly all participants choose to attend the session and learn more. Revenue Management is a team sport! Have you ensured all the players are invited to the game at your hotel? #revenuerocks

Crown Sells Nobu Stake Crown Resorts has sold its 20% stake in the Nobu restaurant and hotel chain, valued at $266 million, to refocus its gaming and hospitality business under Blackstone ownership. The deal, part of Blackstone's strategy to streamline Crown's assets, values Nobu at $1.3 billion. Established by Robert De Niro and Nobu Matsuhisa, Nobu operates globally with over 50 restaurants and a dozen hotels. Crown's restructuring efforts include job cuts (1,000 jols across the 3 casinos) and revamping luxury retail and dining offerings amid challenges in Australia's gaming sector.

The Fundamentals of Hospitality: Celebrate Success Always! Our industry moves at a ferocious pace. Guests come and go, months fly by, targets keep us busy, and it can often be a new year before we know it! We often get caught up with a focus on the next day, the next target, or the next milestone, and we forget to celebrate. Every win is a win, and taking time to measure backward is just as important as looking forward. Never forget the progress you have made as an individual and team, whether big or small. Spending time to celebrate wins is fundamental in building a strong, high-performing and motivated team in the long run! #TheFundamentalsofHospitality #Celebrate #Wins

🌐 Why a Modern Website Design Matters in 2024 🚀 In today's digital age, your website is often the first impression potential clients or customers have of your business. Here's why having a modern-looking website is crucial: 1. Building Trust: A sleek, contemporary design builds trust with visitors. It shows professionalism and attention to detail, crucial for establishing credibility in the eyes of your audience. 2. Loading Speed: Ensuring your website loads quickly is crucial for retaining visitors. Slow loading times can frustrate users and lead to higher bounce rates. 3. SEO Optimization: Modern websites are typically designed with search engine optimization (SEO) best practices in mind, making it easier for potential clients/customers to find your website through search engines like Google. The future of search is changing rapidly and drastically - you need to keep up and make sure AI platforms are pushing users to your content! 4. Natural Flow of Information: Modern websites are designed with user experience in mind. They guide visitors through the information intuitively, making it easier for them to understand your offerings and navigate your content. 5. Ease of Navigation: Visitors appreciate websites where they can quickly find what they're looking for. A modern design ensures that navigation is seamless, reducing bounce rates and keeping visitors engaged longer. 6. Compatibility Across Devices: With the majority of users accessing the internet via mobile devices, having a website that is responsive and compatible across all screen sizes is non-negotiable. A modern website adapts effortlessly to desktops, tablets, and smartphones alike. Investing in a modern website isn't just about aesthetics—it's about enhancing user experience, building trust, and ultimately driving business growth in a competitive digital landscape. We're excited at Traverse Hospitality to be partnering with hostAI on building our website for the future.

Hospitality Expert | Accounts Manager | Advisor | Technology | SaaS | "The art of hospitality is widely shown in the smallest of gestures"
Thought of the day for my fellow hoteliers! Curious to know your thoughts? The landscape for hotel casinos and resorts has shifted its focus to monetizing experiences, marking a significant transformation in customer behavior in places going back to 2015 during my time at Caesars Ent. The city has transitioned from a gaming-centric to an experience-driven destination, evident in the fact that 60% of paying customers in Vegas are now identified as non-gamers, this was stated back in 2015 and I am positive that has gone up. This shift has led to hotels competing to offer diverse and appealing experiences, prompting proactive approaches like Caesars establishing a dedicated department to adapt to this evolving consumer behavior and drive incremental revenue. I know this firsthand because I created that department. A key contributor to success has been the strategic use of technology, exemplified by partnerships such as the one with UrVenue at the time. This collaboration has not only resulted in substantial revenue growth but has also streamlined operations. By prioritizing customer focus and leveraging technology, teams can excel in customer development, making tasks like handling reservations, check-ins, and facilitating payments seamless. As the industry continues to evolve, the question arises: do you observe hotels maintaining a focus on creating unique experiences, and what tools or strategies do you think would further facilitate operators in effectively monetizing and enhancing customer service in this dynamic environment? We live in a social media world and that computes to consumers wanting experiences so that they can say "I did it for the Gram" #pxms #hotels #experiences #vegas #hospitality #urvenue

Co-Founder, President, & CEO at LW Hospitality Advisors | Hospitality Real Estate | Appraisals, economic feasibility evaluations, investment counseling, asset management, receivership, and transactional services.
It is also why the hospitality industry continues to grow by shrinking. “Consolidation endures in the lodging sector as hotel brand and/or management companies as expanding mass and distribution is key to remaining competitive,” said Dan Lesser, co-founder, president and CEO of LW Hospitality Advisors. “There are many independent brands or smaller collections of brands that can scale by leveraging large brand family loyalty platforms.” Is partnership the new M&A? Maybe not. It’s more of an offshoot or hybrid form of M&A, as LWHA’s Lesser said. But it’s not going away; in fact, it will increase. “We will see more of it because everyone is under pressure to grow and it’s an easy way to do that,” Lesser said.
