Another iconic visit to an iconic Club! Grateful to Joe Furko, the new General Manager/COO at Scioto Country Club, and the outstanding Scioto team for hosting myself and Brent Hildreth, Director of Capital Asset Management at Club Benchmarking. This historic club, with a classic Donald Ross designed course, has hosted prestigious tournaments like the Ryder Cup and U.S Opens, and is home to Golf legend Jack Nicklaus. I was impressed to see an old photo of Jack Nicklaus and his parents depicting the creation of what I believe is the first indoor hitting bay in his Columbus, Ohio home's basement? (Circa 1955ish??) From stunning patios to the Donald Ross Bar and a winter lap pool bubble for year-round swimming, Scioto Country Club continues to impress. Our recent visit kickstarted the creation of their Capital Asset schedule, providing essential data for long-term planning to the membership, Board, and Management. #Clubbenchmarking #COMPASS
