🚀 I have completed my degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Throughout my academic career, I maintained a CGPA of 8.92 which often led to the assumption that theoretical know-how directly translates into practical prowess. But does it? 🤔 During my internships, I quickly realized that while academic excellence provides a solid foundation, the real world demands creativity, teamwork, and an ability to adapt that no classroom can fully teach. Here’s how I bridged the gap 🙄 Collaborative Projects: Worked on a cross-functional team to design an energy-efficient engine. Practical Problem Solving: Implemented cost-effective modifications to reduce production expenses by 15%. “It Matters” - Attitude & Time Management Reflecting on a conversation I had with a seasoned Engineer about my career goals and pursuing a Bachelor’s in a STEM. She talked about how she would grill candidates on specific theories in physics and engineering that applied to the job. Despite having much to say about having problem solving skills/critical thinking skills She emphasized at the end of the chat that “Everything you do today is an investment for your future.” What stood out to me most was that I believe she was not just shining the light on the importance of being competent in the field but what spoke to me was how time is managed reaching the heights needed to accomplish completing a degree program and how your colleagues/student body recall your attitude and character. With that said, It matters how you respond to challenges and errors, even if you're a newly grad with a Bachelor or Masters, remember there are people on your teams that are seasoned decades over and would rather you confirm a solution than let your ego & sparkly new degree cause millions of dollars in damages to equipment or time spent in research. #highereducation #highperformance #attitudeiseverything #stem #universities #internships #engineering #scienceandtechnology

At the October Manufacturing Innovation Fund Board Meeting, the Board approved the following investments in growing our manufacturing sector. Funded the Manufacturing Voucher Program (MVP) at $5.0M to provide funding until June 30th, 2024. Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT) will begin accepting starting December 1st. Funded a Statewide First Robotics program at $2,270,638 for two years to support FIRST Robotics programs across Connecticut. ReadyCT will lead this effort for the MIF. Funded the Engineering Internship program for $1,079,900 for two years to continue to provide finding for college internships in the manufacturing sector so we can ensure that if "you learn in Connecticut, you earn in Connecticut". Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT) is our lead on this program. Funded the Hearts and Minds 2.0 campaign at $2,000,000 for two years to continue to market manufacturing careers in CT. H&M 1.0 was a success, and we look forward to continuing to reach out to change the perception of manufacturing and drive people to life changing manufacturing careers. Looking forward to working with Cronin on this campaign. Funded the Career Roadshow program at $497,219 for two years. In 2023, we reached over 5,000 middle and high school students, introducing them to manufacturing careers. ReadyCT leads this effort.
