In this video, I created a scaled down version of a much larger project I am working on using External Objects in Salesforce. As powerful as this feature is, it's far underutilized by most companies, even when they have a clear need for it! 🤯 In this example, I link a #dynamodb #database from #AWS to Salesforce to get the #workday ID for a new employee record (among other attributes). In my other larger project, I am using it to handle disparate #marketing data, similar to what #datacloud does for much less of the cost. Short time saving tip when enabling #sitecore Metadata Mode in XM Cloud If your code actively checking the editable property, make sure it now (also) uses metadata property for all the editing stuff e.g. building your JSS fields. ("Also" for compatibility reason) If you miss that WYSIWYG inline capability of the affected fields is simply not working anymore Reason: When switching from chromes to metadata mode you basically switch from using the editable property to the newly introduced metadata property. And guess what? My demo had such an active use and I wondered why it is out of the blue not working anymore 🙈 See the OOTB Title component to find out how to add metadata properly to your data model.

StarRocks has boosted its capabilities again!🚀🚀🚀 In version 3.3.0, we introduce several significant upgrades and improvements, including improvements for the shared-data cluster, data lake analytics, materialized views, query performance, and storage enhancements. Specifically, performance has significantly improved for ARM architecture instruction sets, as evidenced by tests on AWS Graviton instances. Results showed an 11% speed advantage over x86 architecture in the SSB 100G test, 39% in Clickbench, 13% in TPC-H 100G, and 35% in TPC-DS 100G. By refactoring the parallel scan logic, we have significantly enhanced the metadata access performance of the #Iceberg Catalog. We eliminated the single-threaded I/O bottleneck in the native Iceberg SDK, which was impeding performance with large metadata files. Consequently, queries previously slowed by metadata bottlenecks now see performance improvements exceeding tenfold.
