The last couple of days have been…… I can’t seem to find the words Yes, it’s the festive season A time when people take breaks and holidays from work to unwind and connect with family and friends That hasn’t been the case for me A lot of things to fill into my calendar for the first quarter of 2024 A lot of meetings to wrap up things for the year and all I still have personal issues that need my attention It’s been overwhelming But at the end of the day, there’s always a way out I had to create a priority list and place each task accordingly making I no breakdown 😩 Some days can be like that We all have had one or two of such days How do you handle days when everything on your desk seems to be screaming “Attend to me”? With the Christmas and New Year period coming in thick and fast, here are the things that I’ll be doing to ensure that myself and my business are ready for time off: ☑️ TYING UP LOOSE ENDS - I’ll be looking through my upcoming tasks to prioritise what absolutely must be completed before I finish for Christmas. There’s nothing worse than the voice in your head telling you that you missed the deadline for something important, or didn’t respond to someone with requested information. 😴REST - I’m still going to have my usual days off leading up to the festive period. I won’t be working extended hours as this will lead to nothing but burnout. Leaving me tired and not as present as I should be with family. 🗓️RETURN PLAN - Mapping out what I need to do straight away after 2 weeks off. This will help me to keep a level head when catching up on anything that happens over the festive period rather than going into overload trying to figure out where to start.
