I am tired of seeing the same phrase over and over again, "must have experience"? It can be disheartening to see those words, especially when you know you have the skills to excel in the position. Your skills and expertise in your profession should be given first priority. If my skills are related to HVAC field , for example, why would I need experience in oil & gas industry ? HVAC TECHNICIAN job is to maintain HVAC assests. (They are not for rigging or drilling) While it's important to be aware of the risks and hazards in any industry, but that knowledge can be provided by the employer after joining.
