Thanks to Tom Kenny and his team for hosting a great round table discussion today with input from a broad range of experts on social care. Any solution must begin with an open and honest conversation with the public around how social care is commissioned and funded, including clear explanations as the the reasons leading to the demand vs supply issue we face today. Furthermore, we need to ensure those in need of care and their unpaid family carers, legal and professional representatives get access to timely, accurate information, guidance and signposting to reputable professional services so that they may more easily navigate their care journeys, no matter where they live in the UK. It is my belief that in order to become more visible it seems that the first step is to increase public awareness around the nature and extent of the crisis, its causes and the options open to us all, but to make this more personally relevant. Most of us will need social care and/or become a carer to an older adult in our family or community at some point in our lives. #care #socialcare #carereform #carefunding #mycarehub

🚀 Exploring Barriers to Deploying Impactful Social Innovation Schemes 🌍 In the dynamic landscape of social innovation, identifying barriers is key to fostering meaningful change. 🛑 Some learnings from our last cross-sectoral impact roundtable: 1️⃣ Absence of Safe Spaces: Limited environments for safe learning and testing impede progress. 2️⃣ Lack of 'People at risk'- Centric Models: Insufficient involvement of individuals at risk from the design to the deployment. 3️⃣ Lack of Supportive Ecosystems: A broader, nurturing environment is essential for sustainable innovation. 4️⃣ Low-Risk Appetite: Fear of failure inhibits bold experimentation and progress. 5️⃣ Trust Deficits: Establishing trust among partners is crucial for collaborative efforts. 6️⃣ Cultural Differences: Diverse cultural backgrounds may pose challenges in aligning objectives & strategies. 7️⃣ Time Constraints: Limited time frames hinder the development and execution of innovative projects. 8️⃣ Accessibility Issues: Inaccessible distribution models limit the reach of impactful solutions. 9️⃣ Win-Win Alliances: Opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships are often underexplored. 🔍 What barriers do you encounter in deploying social innovation schemes? Such an amazing end to the Global Access week at RPC. This morning I met Lord Peter Hain who is also a Pretorian and played an integral part in the Good Friday Agreement. It was an absolute pleasure to spend some time with him. I also met the most inspiring insurance colleagues from Australia, the Netherlands, the USA and Canada. One key take away from this week which really has me thinking is - are lawyers good mediators or are we wired to be litigators? Let me know what you think. #insurance #insuranceindustry #insurancecoverage #global #globalaccess #mediation #alternativedisputeresolution #insurancelaw

Getting the chance to spend a few days in another CNA Hardy office is always a highlight, because we have some pretty awesome people. They're warm, collaborative and are experts at what they do. These are my top tips for working away from your home office. - Bring your authentic self to your new workspace. - Spend some time getting to know your colleagues. Don't rely on pre-booked meetings only. Have conversations and connect on a human level. - Be interested... I mean genuinely interested. Listen to what is said and what is implied. Ask questions respectfully and as appropriate. - Pivot and try again: If something isn't working, change your approach. Think about the person, the place, the circumstance and adjust your style accordingly - Have fun! Work doesn't have to be 'same-y' and uninspired. A sprinkle of laughter (be mindful of colleagues doing focused work or on MS Teams calls) can go a long way. Feel free to add some tips of your own. #SharingisCaring Massive thanks to Emma Vickers, Daniel Millar, Daisy Massingham, team Norwich and Amy Doherty for being absolute legends! #WorkLife #OfficeCulture #WorkTips #Collaboration
We have some of the best and brightest in the business and we’re excited to introduce two of our stars. Daisy Massingham and Daniel Millar pull back the curtains to give you a behind the scenes look at life in our Norwich office. Collaborating with colleagues to deliver top-level customer service is all in a day's work, and in this film they share how we get it done! A special shout out to all our Norwich colleagues featured in the video—our incredible people are the heart and soul of the business! #LifeatCNAHardy #Insurance #InsuranceCareers #EmployeeExperience #Culture #Norwich
