I often get asked why safety is not one of NASSCO’s core values. The reason safety is not a core value for NASSCO, Inc. is this: While our core values are positive behaviors expected of NASSCO staff and members, safety is an important action that is woven into everything we do #cleaner #cleanermagazine #cleanermag #jobsafety #education #training https://loom.ly/Js5OJJY

MANDATORY SITE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS 📌It is imperative to clearly display Site Safety Mandatory Requirements at the entrance to a facility, plant or site. This will definitely help all visitors, contractors, employees and all that visit the plant to make sure they know what is required of them. 📌It is important however to ensure whatever is displayed is duly followed by everyone. A site that shows partiality in implementing it's safety rules shows immaturity in it's safety culture. 📌Regardless of status and positions, safety issues should never be made relative. #safetyfirst #safetyculture #occupationalhealthandsafety photo: buildern

NABCO's Commitment to Ladder Safety - March is National Ladder Safety Month! This March , NABCO proudly supports the American Ladder Institute (ALI) in promoting National Ladder Safety Month. Every step matters, from step stools to extension ladders, and ensuring you're putting the right foot forward is crucial. Why It's Important: Annually, over 100 people tragically lose their lives in ladder-related accidents, and thousands more are seriously injured. National Ladder Safety Month is the pivotal time to elevate awareness and reduce these alarming statistics. OSHA Recommendations: - Maintain a 3-point contact when climbing/descending a ladder - Face the ladder when climbing or descending - Keep the body inside the side rails - Use extra care when getting on or off the ladder at the top or bottom - Avoid tipping the ladder over sideways or causing the ladder base to slide out - Carry tools in a tool belt or raise tools up using a hand line; never carry tools in your hands while climbing up/down a ladder - Extend the top of the ladder three feet above the landing - Keep ladders free of any slippery materials Safe Practices: It’s vital to maintain 3-point contact on ladders, ensure they're on stable ground, and never exceed their load rating. For comprehensive DOs and DON’Ts of ladder safety, visit OSHA Safety Training Institute: https://lnkd.in/e49dtcwi. Join Us: As NABCO commits to enhancing safety in every step, we encourage our community to actively participate in National Ladder Safety Month. Together, we can foster a safer environment and significantly reduce the risks associated with ladder use. #NationalLadderSafetyMonth #SafetyFirst #NABCO #LadderSafety #WorkplaceSafety #AirBalance #WaterBalance #ConstructionSafety #NABCOStrong

In search of the best insulation services? At GNI, we're not only the industry leading insulation company in Ontario – we aim to be the industry leader in training, as well. Training happens at our training facility in Woodstock, Ontario and out in the field. In an article on the GNI website, we interviewed lead trainer and our Health & Safety Manager Bernie Borman to outline how we ensure that every crew member receives robust training to prevent accidents and work securely. Bernie also outlines how our teams remain mindful of all potential hazards on site, particularly when cooperating with other trades such as electrical. As Bernie says, “You can climb a ladder safely a hundred times, but if you’re distracted or complacent that hundred and first time, that’s when accidents can happen.” Read the full article here: https://bit.ly/3SaFVad #careersininsulation #insulationcompany #insulationservices
