This is RWE! These 100 projects are under construction and don't include those going through early project development ("in the pipeline" so to speak) such as my Canopy Offshore Wind project at 1.6 GW, which is estimated to generate enough clean power for more than 600,000 homes. These were vague numbers in my head so I did some math this morning. To put this in perspective, if one assumes 2 people per household, 1.6 GW could power all the homes in the northern counties of California (Humboldt, Del Norte, Mendocino, Lake, Trinity, Siskiyou, Modoc, Shasta, Lassen, Tehama, Plumas, Butte, Glenn, Colusa, Sutter, Yuba, Nevada, and Sierra), which have a combined population of about 1,048,000 according to 2022 US Census data. Just this one project now feels pretty powerful 💨

Ohio is seeing a tidal wave of new construction due to new federal investments in infrastructure and manufacturing. Here's how the #IBEW is getting ready to win the work.

Terry, in your travels did you personally visit local colleges & universities to find potentials like, individuals that were completely foreign to projects, project controls, construction & mentoring them into reliable, self motivated individuals? Actually being an ambassador to international assignments? Or did you just do the assignment? I did! I nurtured people to take on challenges that left to their own “national” opportunities would have been little more than “worker bees” regardless of education. Terry I’ve seen your advancement through your career, & like many I’ve seen, they took credit. I can truthfully say the teams I built would go wherever I asked them to travel with me. How many can say that? Honestly, how many has FLR turned their back on? How many were charge hypo-tax that were not even US citizens? How many were not paid according to the host country’s labor laws? How many were “terminated” because they knew the laws & confronted the Company? You are correct! FLUOR was once a great company. Now it’s only for the bottom line & investors! Not the true “makers” of the company! The real assets, the people! It is true a company can do what it wants”wants” with assets. The same as those assets can do with a company.

Last week we hosted a fantastic collaboration forum on a topic that's always top-of-mind for our industry: Contractual claims for unforeseen ground conditions. More specifically, we delved into geotechnical issues – the lessons learned and re-learned.  We brought together some of the brightest minds in our industry to share their expertise and insights; Manawa Energy's Senior Project Director, Robert Shelton; Papke CM Ltd Company Director, Marc Papke; and MAP Projects CEO, Mark Prater. Their presentations were engaging, insightful, and sparked some thought-provoking conversations. We all walked away with a renewed appreciation for the complexities of dealing with unforeseen ground conditions. The forum served as a valuable reminder to constantly refine our processes, stay up-to-date on the latest advancements, and learn from each other's experiences. It was also a great opportunity to connect with our stakeholders and peers. We're thrilled with the positive feedback we've received since and are already looking forward to the next collaboration forum.
