👧Girl Power 🤜💥 29% of our placements this year has been made up of females but it needs to improve!! The percentage of women in the tech industry varies depending on the role and company, but here are some statistics: Overall representation: Women make up 27.6% of the tech industry. Senior leadership roles: Women make up 10.9% of CEO and senior leadership roles. Tech companies with more than 10,000 workers: Women make up 26.2% of these companies. Developer roles: Women make up around 23% of developers globally. Layoffs: Women are 1.6 times more likely to be laid off than men. In 2022, 69.2% of tech layoffs were women.

DEI Essentials – How important it is to do proactive diversity sourcing? @ TalentZen, we champion in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in our sourcing endeavours to help our clientele find underrepresented talent. No matter where we post the job description, we need to ensure that the language and content won’t turn talent from underrepresented groups off and keep them from applying. It is imperative to articulate inclusive language! We are aiming at multiple hiring initiatives to establish hiring programs tailored to neurodiverse talent pool as a part of Inclusivity to encourage PWD for instance, hiring individuals on the autism spectrum for jobs in cybersecurity, coding, and testing. Rather than participating in standard interviews, candidates showcase their capabilities by taking part in evaluations that are more tailored to their needs and their skills, such as building complex robotic projects. Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Belonging - these are so close to my heart. Being a Third Culture Kid - living now in a different country than I was born in, these topics have been ever present with me. I loved C.'s questions - as I believe an inclusive world - is one that will thrive. In everything that is going on in today's world, I wish for us humans, to respect, care, and nurture eachother. That is my wish. In the world of work - we face much diversity. The workworld, is a reflection of everything going on in society. Creating Inclusive, Equitable, Diverse cultures at work will only reflect to society as a whole (and vice versa). Let's continue to do the good work, and create cultures that thrive.
