We're taking a look back at the incredible journey of Sterling Heights' college internship program, where 19 emerging talents were placed within City Hall, the Police Department, Parks & Recreation and more. During their time with us, they were able contribute to strategic projects, gain real world experience working on both long-term and short-term initiatives and offer fresh perspectives on everything from public safety and our Master Plan to fun and inclusive recreation opportunities and everything in between. Though many are returning to school this fall, we hope that, as they transition into their early careers, they’ll #LookNoFurther than Sterling Heights.

Our very own Dan Rizek and Bob Sergott of the Broadcast Services Division recently won multiple awards from the Alliance for Community Media, Central States Region Philo Awards. The Alliance for Community Media recognizes the efforts of modern-day broadcast pioneers who have dedicated themselves to community media, empowering voices and fostering connections within our local communities. SHTV has always been known for creative expression, a platform for diverse voices, and a vital source of information for our residents. Dan and Bob not only uphold these values but also work to take them to new heights.
