On May 23, in my previous role as the Career Executive for Mitropolitiko Kollegio-Larisa Campus, I along with some of my colleagues and the head of campus Eliza Konstantinidou ΜΒΑ, MSc organized a truly remarkable career event that not only, gave the opportunity for students to connect with the job market, but, also gave them the opportunity to attend an important panel discussion that focused on the necessary skills they need in order to succeed professionally. Having been always involved within academia and not only, I learned how important is to sharpen your soft skills when it comes to organizing successfully an event and moderating a panel of prominent figures. My experience both in Europe and in the States along with having worked in so many industries and roles, helped me make my own small list with the top skills needed when it comes to professional success. 1. Compassion within oneself and for others. The harsher we are with ourselves the harsher we are with others. Compassion is a good attribute to have when working with people. 2. Emotional intelligence+reading properly a situation before acting. 3. Capability in learning fast and efficiently. 4. Always, finding solutions to problems even when everyone says there isn't one. 5. Adaptability 6. Respect to yours' and others' boundaries 7. Ability to listen and not just respond! 8. Master body language reading 9. Positive mentality and vibes=higher frequencies 10. Morals+Ethos= Credibility!

2 days in Melbourne, 2 job offers! Here’s how it happened: Everyone told me, “It’s so tough to find a job in Melbourne. It takes forever.” And honestly, hearing that can make you start to believe it. Ignore it. Don’t let that mindset hold you back. It doesn’t always have to be as hard as people say. Let me give you some background: Job 1: Amusement Park Doing my interview on a giant Ferris wheel was definitely a first. Job 2: Hospitality A rooftop bar overlooking the city, buzzing with energy. I knew experience and timing were everything, so I simply turned up on time (5/10 minutes early) and showed both managers I could step in confidently and deliver from day one. The key? • Confidence • Clarity • Showing you’re ready to meet their needs. Excited to start this new chapter in Melbourne! ____________ ✍️ What tips do you have for approaching a job application? #JobSearch #Melbourne #NewBeginnings #CareerTips #GraduateLife #JobHunt

During this period of rapid growth at Tahaluf, I’ve found it’s more important to find people with the right attitude than people with all the right skills and experience. We have the capacity to support skills development. And honestly, the way most events companies do things isn’t necessarily the way my team does things – so if someone is kind and supportive and ready to learn, we’re happy to invest in them, and have our experienced team members train up those new bees. Because there are things you can’t teach and things you can. And when you’re hiring at a fast rate, the things you can’t teach become a priority. I look for people who are kind, supportive, adaptable and willing to learn. What we’re doing is incredibly hard work. It demands commitment and perseverance and adaptability. To keep that energy and protect moral and mental health, kindness and respect is absolutely essential – from (and towards) every single person in the team.
