Managing Director ➤ Insurance | Risk Management Solutions for Commercial Real Estate Owners & Solar Contractors
Did you know it's illegal to ask an applicant about their medical history? (So, how can a job description support your worker compensation program for solar panel installers?) It must clearly and accurately describe the physical requirements of the job, which in the solar industry, are significant. You cannot ask, “Do you have back problems?” Or “Do you have claustrophobia?” But you can clearly state that the job requires, for example: Climbing ladders and working at heights, often on sloped surfaces. Lifting solar panels and equipment, some weighing up to 50 pounds, multiple times each hour. Maneuvering in tight spaces for wiring and installation. Working outdoors in varying weather conditions. → That’s how you attract suitable job applicants for solar panel installation. → Stay proactive and compliant in the hiring process. And significantly reduce: ✅ The number of workers’ comp claims in high-risk jobs. ✅ At-fault accidents during installations. ✅ The size of claims. ✅ And turnover in your specialized workforce. #solarinstallers #solar Milestone Risk Management #calssa
