Call on all our allies to stand with us to support women in office and call out all forms of abuse and harassment; 3. Call on all elected officials to uphold the highest standards of conduct, focusing on #respectful debate of the issues and not personal attacks; 4. Call on the relevant authorities to ensure the protection of individuals who speak out against abuse, or who experience abuse, providing them with the necessary support and resources.

When a woman casts her vote, it's more than just a mark on a paper. This act is a powerful way to say thank you to all the strong women who've fought for our rights. It also helps us shape the world for us and for future generations. Voting is very personal. It helps us understand our worth and reflects the growth our society has achieved. Each vote is like saying thank you to those who made it possible for us and a sign of our continued fight for equality. Voting also lets us voice our thoughts about things that matter to us. These can be issues like equal pay, our right to choose when to have children, and access to good healthcare. But our votes also impact more than just us. They speak for our shared human experience, showing that our thoughts and feelings matter as much as anyone else's. It also inspires the future generations. When we vote, it’s more than just a democratic right; it’s a step towards a healthier society. Remember, our votes are like ripples created by a pebble thrown into a pond. Alone, a ripple may not seem like much, but together, we can create a big wave of change. Each vote is another step towards a kinder and more inclusive world. Let's continue using our voices, and shaping our shared story. 🌟 BREAKING BARRIERS: Empowering Women in Politics 🌟 Despite comprising over half of the population, women remain significantly underrepresented in elected offices across the United States. But there's hope on the horizon, especially right here in New York City! In honor of Women's History Month I delve into some findings regarding females elected into NYC City Council 🗽✨ 📈 In 2021, we witnessed a monumental shift in the City Council, breaking the traditional mold of a boys' club. 📊 The Maximum New York alumni, created a data set and I used this to uncover some interesting changes like the surge in female representation to the impact of community board membership and diverse employment histories, the numbers paint a compelling picture of progress. 👩💼By dismantling systemic barriers and fostering inclusivity, we can pave the way for a future where every voice is heard and every community is represented. 🌟 ✊Check out the full dataset and our preliminary findings here. She told me development work could be fun. 👀 I said prove it and she has. When Julie Ordoñez started partnering with The Teaching Well we began a journey of self-exploration and strategic planning. The hustle can sometimes have us forget that we aren't just fundraising to close the gap, to build the reserve, to expand on benefits offerings. We work here and we want to be just as well as we hope to get our clients. We deserve joy and stability. 🗣 Beyond that, our fiscal solvency ensures the often marginalized and unheard BIPOC educators and leaders we serve, have an organization that represents them. Understands them. Heals alongside them. 💡 It's not "we have to" anymore with development work. It's "we get to and we know how to do it authentically." That matters.
