Space Vehicle Systems Engineer @ Boeing | Founder @ Astranavem | Aerospace Career Development | Part-time Inventor | Full-time Innovator | Empowering the next Space Generation 🚀
Ah yes, I remember when I got picked for my very first internship in systems engineering without having a clue in the world what it was. 😅 How did you find yourself in Systems Engineering? It is interesting to note that although there have been a growing number of systems engineering degree programs and a wider reach towards awareness of the discipline... 1. It is still not a widely understood role for the general public. 🌐 2. It is still not a commonly pursued line of study amongst younger folk. 👨🎓 3. It is still dominated by the very first generations to encounter it. 📊 I wonder when we will stop being chosen by Systems Engineering... And actually start picking Systems Engineering ourselves. 🤔 Any thoughts from my fellow Systems Engineers out there? #systemsengineering #meme

Friends and my education connections, my friend Matt has some info on a really interesting internship. For any college students who are interested in design and engineering, is definitely one you’ll want to take a look at. Comment below if you’d like me to make an introduction. #Engineering Summer intern #Design #Yosemite
Do you know someone currently enrolled in college that is interested in a summer job with Design and Engineering? Please share this announcement far and wide to students you may know. Previous interns have gotten to experience Yosemite in ways so may do not; from riding in a helicopter for back country waste, to backpacking to install urine diverting toilets, to hiking up Half Dome to get scans, the opportunities are incredible! "Why did you want to become an engineer?" We continue our E-Week celebration by shining a light on Brynna Bartlett, EI. Brynna joined the team full-time two years ago after interning with Matthews | DCCM during her final two semesters at UNF. Describe your job in one sentence As a civil engineer, I design stormwater management facilities and lift stations. What's something you enjoy doing outside of work? I enjoy playing pickleball outside of work. Why did you want to become an engineer? When I was interning at a prosthetics office in college, I realized I was drawn to the design aspects of the field which is why I shifted my attention to engineering. There is something so cool about designing a product and seeing it constructed. Surprising or fun fact about yourself. I have trained two service dogs. Any advice for STEM students/future engineers? If you are thinking about a career in STEM get involved early with internships or research opportunities to find out what field interests you. #MatthewsDCCM #EWeek #EWeek2024 #CivilEngineers #STEM
