At this month's Council Meeting, we proudly adopted our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for 2024-2026. This is our third RAP and further underscores our commitment to fostering reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the wider Australian community. Developed in consultation with Brimbank’s Traditional Custodians, the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation, Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation, the Brimbank Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Consultative Committee (BATSICC), local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, our staff, and the wider Brimbank community, the plan details our priorities and desired outcomes under Reconciliation Australia's RAP Framework. 📽️ Check out this clip of BATSICC Co-chair, Uncle Shane discuss how a willingness to learn and openness to transfer knowledge can drive growth, reconciliation and a brighter future for Brimbank as shared during a staff Reconciliation Week event.
