Last night, the ladies next to us were very entertaining at dinner. Really working the staff and each other with story upon revelatory story. It made us want more. It made us want to hear them again. They should’ve been doing standup…. It was a show…an event. Actions Speak Louder Than Words Implementation > Ideas I recently choreographed an event featuring various performing artists. I had to assemble a team of dancers for different locations and times throughout the event day. During one planning meeting, I mentioned to the event manager that since the theme was #SummerReign, it would be fitting to incorporate a more regal and royal element. I proposed placing thrones around the venue, especially on the red carpet in front of the branding, to encourage people to take photos. Having mentioned this in passing, I didn’t expect much. To my amazement, when I arrived at the event with my team, there were beautifully decorated thrones strategically placed around the venue. We enhanced this attraction by having our dancers, in their captivating costumes, perform near the thrones, encouraging more people to take photos with the performers. This demonstrated the event manager’s strong leadership and listening skills; but more importantly, they implemented the idea. Not only did I feel heard and valued, but I also felt compelled to work with them again.
