Staff wellbeing is an increasingly relevant and necessary consideration in the modern workplace. 📢 Wellbeing at its simplest level is about personal happiness in the workplace – feeling good and living safely and healthily. In this respect wellbeing is a hugely significant aspect of people’s work and careers. 💡 It is also important to remember that companies have certain legal responsibilities to their workers and the following legislation must be complied with: • Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 • Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 • Employment Rights Act 1996 • Protection from Harassment Act 1997 • Working Time Regulations 1998 • Equality Act 2010 Companies should develop wellbeing policies that fit their particular work environment. There is no one size fits all. ✔ It is important to consult staff to see what their needs are as the staff wellbeing policy may need to be adapted as new information becomes available. ➡️Read this detailed factsheet to learn how to develop a staff wellbeing policy that promotes health and safety, reduces workplace stress, and ensures good pay and remuneration, working hours and conditions of employment: https://lnkd.in/eVNiB6Qi #Wellbeing #HumanResources #MentalHealth #Health #EmployeeExperience #Leadership #Business

💫 Why we invest in an Employee Assistance Program: The Power of Wellbeing in Performance and Productivity! Did you know? There's a strong link between employee wellbeing, performance, and productivity. Many companies agree that prioritizing employee wellness leads to improvements in both quality and quantity of work, making it an essential focus for every CHRO and a cornerstone of any strategic people agenda. At Envu, our purpose to advance healthy environments for everyone, everywhere, goes beyond our professional lives. We recognize the importance of personal health and wellbeing in bringing out our best selves, both at work and in our daily lives. In that spirit, I'm thrilled to announce one of our latest initiative: the global Employee Assistance Program (EAP) in partnership with ComPsych. This program offers confidential support services, ensuring that our team members have access to the resources they need to thrive personally and professionally, regardless of where they are located. I’m proud to be a leader in a company that prioritizes and invests in wellbeing as a strategic imperative, driving success for both our people and our organization. #EAP #MentalHealthAwareness #HumanResources

This decline is especially impacting younger generations, with over a third under 35 reporting low wellbeing. 😴 The data highlights the critical role leaders play. Employees who feel part of a supportive work community are almost three times more engaged! By actively listening, offering meaningful support, and providing resources like GP helplines and mental health programs, you can cultivate a thriving work environment where employee wellbeing flourishes. It’s an exhilarating time to work in HR, as we become more instrumental in strategic decision-making 💭 Recently, there’s been a significant shift in the way that HR is viewed, with many more companies now recognising HR as a strategic partner—finally securing a well-earned seat at the decision-making table. And, in our ongoing mission for championing employee wellbeing, HR professionals are often at the forefront of many workplace challenges, offering solutions and spearheading initiatives. With this in mind, it’s important to pause and ask: who champions the people champions? How can we ensure that the team at the heart of wellbeing remains well themselves? The answer…lies with us! 💪 In our crucial role as HR, it’s vital that we take time to prioritise our own wellbeing. Putting ourselves first is not just about self-care, and it’s certainly not something to feel selfish or embarrassed about. How can we keep our workplace happy if we’re not in a good headspace ourselves? Join me at the CIPD Wellbeing at Work conference from the 7-8th February. I’ll be presenting a session on: “From burnout to balance - 5 ways to navigate the role of HR in employee wellbeing.” See you there! 💫
