It will take a lot to cure cancer. Today, I ask you to support my fundraising effort for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. LLS has spent $1.7 billion on research so far, and 70% of recently approved breakthrough medications have been supported by LLS grants. In addition, LLS works every day to improve the lives of patients and families from diagnosis through survivorship. Because for those facing blood cancer, the diagnosis is only part of the problem. There are practical challenges, like finding the right doctors and getting to appointments. There are emotional challenges –feelings of depression, anxiety, and isolation. And there are financial challenges, from paying for care and traveling to the clinic, to missing out on work. LLS offers co-pay and travel advances, education and information services, and leads public policy initiatives to keep costs manageable. Scientific studies describing collection, analysis and interpretation of cancer-relevant data (clinical, behavioural, epidemiological) 2. Team Syren's Adam Cruickshank & Martin Bell are making his way from #barcelona to #Geneva and then on to the #swissalps to join Kosta, Pablo and Mike for the Everest in the Alps 2024 challenge in #Verbier starting on Tuesday.
