Here are my top 3 most important things for a Community Manager to do (for the business). 🔥 1) Spend as much time as possible with members. You need to get to know them deeply to be able to advocate for them inside the company. Listen to them and genuinely care about their problems. 2) Match feedback with company goals. You need to align what people tell you and your business goals. Not everything will make sense to execute, but it's your job to understand what does and doesn't. 3) Be a creative problem-solver. You will often need to devise unthinkable ways to get the internal buy-in you need to solve customer problems. You won't find them inside the box. Not fitting in is about being yourself. I’ve seen many creative people telling other creative people what to do, what success recipe to follow, what trend to emulate, or to say to people they would only succeed if they found their niche or if they have an impeccable portfolio. I unintentionally proved myself and others wrong by not following those “recommendations”. I was taking steps that I believed, guiding myself intuitively through my career, focusing on my superpower that no one could have but me. I could access it because I knew where I was putting my foot into. Yes, self-awareness. It started early, around 17-18, before I began consistent therapy: I was curious to understand why people do what they do. What are people's motivations in life? And also mine. My drive to understand people on a deeper level started there, and it unlocked for me so many opportunities and experiences that only pushed me forward. That is the basis of brand strategy and communication: you must understand people. But as they say: “people can only meet you as deeply as they’ve met themselves”. I understood that I came to this life as a nonstop curious human who wanted to explore areas of the mind, the heart, and the soul. I could design the life I wanted to live—or at least try to pursue it. And that’s what I think a good life should be: with awareness of your previous and next steps aligned with your calling—which also requires a lot of internal talk. Start by unlearning the old tricks first: ❌ Blindsiding your customers with ads ❌ Bargaining for loyalty with discounts ❌ Shifting your attention from your customers as soon as they convert ❌ Being shaken by changing algorithms and policies To learn tricks that will cash in your top-line in 2024: ✅ Genuine content that addresses your audience's 'jobs-to-be-done.' ✅ Community engagement through user reviews, answering queries, and anything that opens a dialog ✅ Knowing your customers are not just numbers; they're part of your journey. Treating them that way ✅ Direct Communication that bridges the gap from third party to zero.

Community = Your New Secret Weapon. In a world filled with 1s and 0s, it's easy to forget that tech is still a people business. The best tech companies are community-driven. They: ▪ Know their audience ▪ Build for them ▪ Listen to them ▪ Engage with them But how do you build a community? Step 1: Provide Value. Give away something valuable you're already good at. Step 2: Go where your audience is. Hang out where they hang out. Step 3: Listen and engage. Be active, answer questions, and show you care. Step 4: Create something together. Involving your audience in co-creating something together creates a bond and an emotional investment. Step 5: Stay human. Show your personality, be a human being, not a corporation. That's it! With these 5 steps you'll be on your way to building a profitable community that's loyal and engaged.
