In challenging economic times, we are all forced to carefully consider where we assign our leisure time dollars. For families, this can often mean omitting creative activities for the kids, as these are traditionally more expensive than other leisure time activities. At Pink Flamingo Spiegeland, this issue is front and centre in our commitment to accessible arts for young people. That's why we have tickets to all performances of our feature-length family show, Circus Fun House, priced as low as $25 per person (based on a family of 4). So during these tough economic times, let's keep the magic of live entertainment alive. https://lnkd.in/g_9XwN3M

I see tons of concerts every year -- big ones and small ones. I'm not sure about you, but I will pay dearly to see an artist or band that is important to me. And I'll skip the rest. Here are my 2 cents on this supposed "trend" about fans not paying up to see shows this summer. * LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. No one wants to see a show in a giant venue with half the seats filled -- and the artists won't want to play to them. Fans want to see artists in the places where we can see (and feel) the music. These giant venues are no fun unless they are packed and everyone in the audience knows every song. The audience is part of the dynamic. The Black Keys are being smart, instead of canceling...they are re-tooling their shows to be in venues where it will be fun for fans (and them). J Lo -- not so much. Rather than reworking her show, she's canceling. Sorry, but experimentation for the win. * FAN SERVICE: The smart artists are playing smaller shows and also double-billing them. Pay attention to this trend. I'm seeing Jane's Addiction and Love & Rockets and they're well paired. Both shows will be awesome and who knows -- maybe they'll all end up on stage together. The chance for the unexpected to happen is part of the magic. Plus, the show is Pier 17 in NYC. It's an outstanding outdoor venue with a view of NYC. Could they have played at a bigger venue? Sure. Would it seem as fun? No way.

🚚 Get ready for the monumental convoy in Central and Southern Ohio! This week marks the commencement of a breathtaking journey as about two dozen "superloads" roll through the region. Their destination? The new Intel site in New Albany and another site in Hebron, shaping the landscape of Central Ohio's development. 🗺️ Navigating this convoy isn't your ordinary road trip—it's a strategic ballet on wheels, meticulously planned and coordinated. Forget the quick GPS input; these colossal loads demand careful choreography. Ohio Department of Transportation spokesman Matt Bruning emphasizes the complexity, underlining the necessity of extensive planning. 🚧 Buckle up for road closures, as electric lines and road signs get a temporary makeover to accommodate these giants. Bruning spills the details, revealing the slow and steady pace of the superloads—10 to 15 miles per hour, a testament to the intricacies of progress. 📆 The journey spans eight to 15 days, dependent on the final destination and load weight. This isn't just a road trip; it's a slow dance to progress. However, fear not, for planning has been the linchpin, ensuring minimal disruption to community events like Election Day, fairs, or festivals. 🌐 For real-time updates on road closures and to witness the "superloads" spectacle, bookmark ODOT's website. As these colossal carriers traverse the local roads, they bear the weight of the future of Central Ohio. Give them a wave if you spot them on the cameras—they're the heralds of progress! 🌟 #SuperloadSaga #OhioOnTheMove #ProgressInMotion

Circus Maximus in Rome, Italy is a historic Roman stadium used for chariot racing and other entertainment. It was the earliest and biggest stadium in ancient Rome and the later Roman Empire, located in the valley between the Aventine and Palatine hills. It could hold more than 150,000 spectators and was 621 meters long and 118 meters wide. When it was completed, it served as the template for circuses all around the Roman Empire. It is currently a public park. Circus Maximus served as the main location for ludi, or public sports related to religious festivals, in the city. For the good of the Roman people and Gods, ludi were supported by powerful Romans or the Roman government. 5 Reasons 78704 (the oh four) has become one of Austin’s trendiest zip codes… 1. It’s outdoor recreation: Miles of hiking trails, paths for running and biking, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake, and swimming in Barton Springs and Big Stacy Pool. 2. Live Music: Austin is known for its live music scene and festivals. You’ll find plenty of live music events to enjoy in this area. My favorite is the Austin City Limits Music Festival at Zilker Park. 3. SoCo District: This area is known for being one of Austin's most popular destinations because of its shopping, restaurants, bars, and live music. 4. Foodie Heaven: Austin’s culinary scene is diverse and delicious. From food trucks serving mouthwatering tacos to upscale restaurants offering global cuisines, you’ll never run out of dining options around here. 5. Proximity: Living in 78704 means you’re only a short drive to downtown, UT Austin, and ABIA airport. Considering making a move, let me know how I can help. #austinrealestate #residentialrealestate #amyklinerealtor

It's so daunting leading an organisation – of any scale. In pitches and discussions, the topic of marketing is tabled a lot. For a company 4 years in, we really should be reviewing our marketing strategy to "put ourselves" out there. The sentiment is great, but the reality is a double-edge sword when you're the one making the decision on where to allot your human and monetary capital, along with available resources within a limited timeframe. Do you focus on the integrity of building the product or do you sell fluff in an attempt to lure in numbers? And at the end of the day, what numbers matter more? The marketing bump or the value of goods sold? Running an internal small outfit while leveraging on the strength of our partners have led us to building a culture that is inclusive, actively thinking, and open. In preserving this culture, one of the principles we practice is to prioritise what is important for the overall and in the long run. It takes time to groom the next generation of creatives, they are not sufficiently developed fresh out of school to perform at high stakes without guidance. Marketing effectively requires knowledge and market sensitivity, both of which can only be gained through the guidance of a senior. For us, we prioritise the transference of our senior's skills to juniors so that they can independently run projects under our banner. At XZV Studio, we started succession planning before our office doors opened and that will remain a law of establishment in our operation. In that, always product first. But in the interim while we have a spare minute between our actual work and marketing persona, here's a Mid-Autumn greeting from our office to your outfits. Wishing everyone great harvest in the coming years ahead. (We really do forget the day of the week, let alone creating social media artwork! But yes, we shall try our best to share more and make a habit out of it.)
XZV Studio wishes everyone a joyful and luminous Mid-Autumn Festival! May your nights be filled with mooncakes, lanterns, and cherished moments with loved ones. Happy Mid-Autumn! 🐰

CLASSICAL MUSIC AND BRAIN DEVELOPMENT IN CHILDREN: "The influence of classical music is not limited to adults; it extends to the developing minds of children as well. The “Mozart Effect,” a term coined from a study suggesting improved spatial-temporal reasoning after listening to Mozart’s music, has sparked interest in the relationship between classical music and early brain development. Exposing children to classical music during their early years may contribute to the development of neural connections, particularly in brain areas responsible for spatial reasoning, language, and mathematical abilities. Many educational programs now incorporate classical music into their curricula to enhance learning and cognitive development in children." 💃🏻Dance is not just a form of movement; it's a beautiful expression of emotion, culture, and history. Personally, I find great joy in dancing, as it allows me to connect with my inner self and express myself freely. However, there's something truly enchanting about the European Ball experience that sets it apart from modern-day disco parties. 🕺🏻Attending a European Ball is like stepping back in time, immersing oneself in the elegance and sophistication of centuries past. The ambiance, the music, and the attire all contribute to creating an atmosphere filled with nostalgia and romance. As I twirl across the dance floor in a grand ballroom adorned with chandeliers and intricate decorations, I can't help but feel transported to a bygone era. 💃🏻The dances performed at European Balls, such as the waltz and the minuet, have been passed down through generations, each step carrying with it a piece of history and tradition. There's a sense of reverence for the past, combined with the excitement of being part of a timeless tradition. 🕺🏻What I particularly enjoy about attending European Balls is the opportunity to connect with others in a meaningful way. Unlike the fast-paced environment of a disco party, where interactions may be fleeting, the slower tempo of ballroom dancing allows for more intimate conversations and connections to be forged. ♥️In essence, European Balls offer not just a chance to dance, but a window into a world of grace, refinement, and cultural heritage. It's an experience that leaves a lasting impression, reminding me of the beauty and richness of our shared history.
